99 Cents Only Stores — Local services in Dallas

You can get great deals here and at great prices however you have to pay attention to the pricing. It says 99 cent store but everything is not $0.99 and the prices keep inching up little by little. The bread that I used to get here for $1.50 is now a little over $3 The chips that I used to get for $1.49 they no longer carry and the new brand that they seem to have replaced them with is $2.49. With that in mind, the prices are still much lower than you would find in a typical grocery store. However don't go in with your heart set on getting one particular thing because what's carried changes up. One of the most disheartening things that I've seen lately, was a rat walking on one of the shelves and across hot dog buns. The staff came immediately and made an attempt to catch the rat and said that they had been having a problem in this one particular corner of the store and that they have not been able to figure out how the mice were getting in. However in their defense I will say that after that incident I went into the store a few days later and it was obvious that there was a deliberate effort to be sure that everything was clean I could even smell The fabulosa or bleach or whatever it was. Hopefully they took care of the rat problem I don't know. But I am now very careful and very particular about what and the type items I will get out of this place.. just in case. 12/3/23 Went in here found a good deal on dog food so I decided to get a bad as well as a 18 count box. So as I went to check out the cashier said the the 18 count box packages where sold separately. But when she scans the box it it scanned. So I go take a picture of the two boxes that where left as she calls her manager Silvia. Not sure what was said because I was gone but when I came back she said no we can't sell the box like that we have to sell each individual packages. Always trying to get over SMH.

7/29/22 Can into this location to get a hat I'd seen before but it wasn't there anymore. So I seen that they had the toothpaste on sale so I grabbed 4. When I get to the register they where ringing up a different price so I told the cashier that the price was wrong and she stated "well that's what they're ringing up. I then asked could she get the manager. Maria the manager comes and states oh no those just the regular ones. Plus another thing theses stores do is if something is .99 they round up. So I got some markers that where 3.99 they changed me and even 4 dollars. I've been noticing this so you guys pay attention...

Terrible place to shop. Of course it's dirty, but many items are priced at $0.99 and they are charging up to five times the price. This is taking into account the items that are priced higher than $0.99.

I got into Jacqueline's line. Whenever something was mispriced and I was getting overcharged I let the young woman know. It annoyed her so she turned off the monitor so I could no longer see the prices that she was ringing up. Since she didn't want need to see the prices and she didn't want to tell me the prices, I had to ask her for the prices of the items before paying. Even then she lied about some of the prices. I couldn't tell until after I left the store and looked at the receipt.
