Fitness Connection — Local services in Dallas

Genuinely dumb founded at how this gym has such good reviews. I only come to this location because its so close to home but it is seriously so disgusting. The women's locker room looks like a pigsty. The red couches in the lounge are so dirty, they are BLACK. I have never seen anyone cleaning the bathroom and I am convinced it has never even remotely seen a bottle of bleach. The changing rooms ALWAYS have random gym equipment in them, which leaves people going crazy looking for the weights in the actual gym. All of the cardio machines are outdated and half are broken, to which are also never fixed! The main gym floor is scattered with random dumbbells and trash. All the spray sanitizers are watered down, the paper towels are always sitting on top of the trash cans, never in the dispenser, the mirrors are insanely dirty and the floors are literally falling apart. The women's only gym itself is horrendous. A free weights rack that is NEVER stacked correctly, weight machines that desperately need wd-40, and insanely crowed with machines that are never used! I am confused as to why this location is sacrificing hygiene and cleanliness for a old "security officer" that sits and stares at people. You are charging me more and more every year to be open 24/7, but refuse to use the extra money to hire a competent janitor staff? Make it make sense! Other locations have staff that walks around around every 1-2 hours organizing and re-racking things instead of gossiping and being on their phone at the front desk. The management team at this location seriously needs to visit the FC off Forest and Marsh. Their front desk staff is always welcoming, the machines and weights aren't disintegrated and full of grime, the building does not smell like BO and rusted metal and most of all,...

DON'T GO There! Mario is worst as it gets for a salesman (Professional). While he was trying to push-up / flirt (whatever you understand) on one of his customers (she was at next desk ahead of his), I waited at his desk for him to answer all and completely answer and provide all questions and expectations in order to sign up clearly and understood for me to sign up on a month to month service and no hidden future fees and such. I walk in and rep says I owe a yearly fee. Mario never stated or broke down any of that. Now front rep says it will report on my credit report if not paid. Stay away from Fitness Connection and the Oak Cliff area. They don't rate a 1 star, this was the only choice allowed in order to post. Reporting to Better Business Bureau as well. It's not the money it's the principle of being straightforward and not hiding future fees on top of so called month to month agreement as I expected and it wasn't told about any yearly fee by said and explained Mario after he spent over 3 minutes trying to push up/flirt with a customer. Do not join this particular Fitness Connection unless you're prepared to deal with the weights being all over the place and having the weights that you've rounded up to work out with removed from the station that you are working out at while you're in the middle of a set. There is a COMPLETE lack of respect from your peers at this gym.. Additionally, there is a HUGE amount of vandalism at this location. About 4 months ago thieves broke into my truck and busted out my rear passenger side window and stole a lot of my tools and property. Tonight they broke into my sons truck and busted out his rear driver side window. I've never seen so much vandalism in all my life. 8 other vehicles were also broken into tonight. Management refuses to do anything about it and that is totally unacceptable. Many cars have been broken into over the past year. I would NEVER visit this gym and work out again.
