The front desk was not transparent with their pricing. I’m new to the city and was looking for a primary women’s doctor, I called for pricing information because I would be paying out of pocket because I don’t have insurance. I informed the front desk that I would be coming in for my yearly PAP exam and asked for a quote. They quoted $450 not including labs. I asked for an estimate for labs she said roughly $400. That was within my budget so I scheduled.
My visit with my doctor and nurse were good and Alyssa made me feel comfortable. When she asked my about skin cancer in my family and I had a concern with a rash on my skin I asked if this could be something. She checked it and it wasn’t but said she could prescribe a lotion. I paid for my labs and when I checked out at the front the lady with the red hair asked my name and date of birth and said I was good to go. So I assumed $408 was all I had to pay because the front desk said I was good. I then get informed that I owe $640 additional for my visit. I was charged for 3 doctor visits apparently when I should have been charged for my labs and my pelvic exam. This is a bad business practice and I feel taken advantage of. I really thought I found a great place for my women’s needs and am very...
Read moreSaw Dr. Stock for several years while she practiced at medical city before she moved to HIM. After moving to HIM I made an appointment over 6 months ago due to extreme fatigue and exhaustion, believing that I was iron deficient again (having received iron infusions in the past for this condition). I was told by Dr Stock it was probably due to me being over weight and having high blood pressure and nothing else. With some convincing Dr. Stock agreed to take some blood tests anyway. The tests showed my iron saturation was extremely low, but I was never contacted or followed up with about the results. I made an appointment myself anyway to follow up, only to be told they no longer take my insurance even though on the BCBSTX website it lists Dr Stock as a provider under my plan. Now 6 months later I’m having to get emergency iron infusions because my iron saturation is even lower because I wasn’t taken seriously for a known condition I have. All she saw was...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of visiting Alysa Casey, PA, at Hillcrest after scheduling a same-day appointment. From the moment I walked in, Alysa's attention to detail and genuine care for my well-being were evident. She was not only attentive and understanding but also went above and beyond in ensuring that I received the best possible care.
What stood out to me the most was Alysa's dedication to her patients. After our appointment, she spent extra time on the phone with the pharmacy, double-checking to make sure the medication dose prescribed to me was accurate. This level of commitment and personal investment in her patient's health is rare and truly admirable.
I cannot recommend Alysa Casey, PA, enough. Her professionalism, empathy, and willingness to go the extra mile for her patients are what make her absolutely stellar in her field. If you're looking for a healthcare provider who truly cares about your health and well-being, look no further than Alysa...
