Where do I start? I searched high and low looking for the best place to have my iPad screen replaced a couple months ago and called around checking pricing and settled on this place for just $75. After getting it back, I didn't notice it right away but there was debris (lint and fibers) under my screen after the replacement. They offered me and told me that I had a lifetime screen replacement'= on my iPad. This means that they cover the parts or labor if anything happens with it. They never told me about a "15 day workmanship" window that they have until today when I went to take my iPad back over to them to have them clean under the screen. The guy told me that it would be $40 for him to lift up the screen, wipe it all down and put the screen back on. First of all, they didn't even do the screen right, because the bottom right edge has a small 'gap' in it and it is not sitting down flush as it should be. Second there is lint under my screen for which is annoying to me because I see it all the time when I'm using my iPad. The guy told me that he would be willing to do it 1/2 off for $20, but he still had to charge me for it. I told him that it's a workmanship defect and that I am not paying for it and they need to honor their 'lifetime warranty' on the screen and fix it at no cost to me. He said that he was not willing to do that and would not be doing that and that I would have to pay him something in order to have it done. I told him I'm not paying him anything as it was not right from the start and he tried to blame it all on me and then tried to use a car analogy about driving a new car off the lot and then coming back a month or two later to try to get your new / used car fixed at no cost. I told him it's not the same thing and that he offered me a lifetime warranty for which I want to take advantage of and he doesn't want to honor it and wants me to pay for another repair. I told him it wasn't happening and that he would be hearing from me again. My actions start here with my reviews to let others know about this place.
I live in Chatsworth, about 20 minutes from Dalton where I had the screen replacement go and I don't always have my iPad with me when I go to Dalton.
Do no take ANY of your devices here, do not purchase anything from this store and do not recommend this store to anyone. They do not care about their customers, they do not honor their supposed warranty and workmanship that they have on their screen replacements to ANY extent. You don't receive anything in writing for the warranty and that was the first mistake. They just verbally tell you and then don't honor it when you have a 'claim' for it.
Please heed my warnings and stay away from this place and urge everyone you know to do the same. You will be mistreated! There are several other places such as CPR and My Tech Bench in Dalton to take your devices for which I will do next time for sure, even if I have to pay more!
This company continues to threaten me and claims that I'm lying. I wouldn't have wasted my time and my energy to write all of this if it were not true. They are very unprofessional and love to call names and cut people down as you can see in their responses. Is this really someone who you want to do business with? Just look at what they wrote in their response. Their response speaks for itself.
"Response from the owner: Larry if you wish to continue to promote your false agenda and review of “lifetime warranty” which we never have offered and we provide accurate proof on how you’ve lost revenue for our business you will have to formally pay us a yearly residual fee for lying on our companies behalf! you have been warned if you continue you will have a summons to answer to! Thanks have a great 2024 liar! -JOHN :) . Your review is all a lie and we will honor all our work that is considered a company part failure within 15 days. We stand by our name anything past that time frame is subject to a service cost that’s how it’s been for 9 years. YOU NOW and forever have...
Read moreNO STARS FOR "THIS iRESTORE PHONE REPAIR JOINT" As a General Manager myself I witnessed the ABSOLUTE "WORST" CASE OF CUSTOMER SERVICE I have and probably will EVER see & go through in the history of BAD SERVICE!!!!!!! LOL It's literally humorous @ the customer relationships skills this place presents or LACK THERE OF!! So I read up on this joint before I drop my property off w/ them. All the reviews say "Fast Service" "Great Place" yata yata yata... So I needed some GREAT PLACE & SPEEDY SERVICE right away! Took my phone by there, talked to the kid about my issue. He took my info, looked @ my phone said "Yep, it's the SIM Reader. One of the wires had evidently came loose & I'm guessing it needed soldering. So, I get it it's tiny & tedious work that could take some time. He did say he would call me in a week due to other business. BUT not 3 weeks or better. I called after 2 weeks I had to tell them my name 3 times & speak w/ 2 different guys who then asked me my name AGAIN! "OH OK HERE IT IS, MA'AM THEY'RE JUST NOW FIXING IT... "WE'LL GIVE YOU A CALL TOMORROW"! I waited another week, nothing. Had my wife go by there this evening to get my phone and the kid said, NOW GET THIS: " WE COULDN'T FIX IT, BUT WE WON'T CHARGE YOU"!! LOL YEAH, YA GOT THAT RIGHT! I mean come on folks, I know business id conducted & THAT'S NOT IT!!! Little word of advice: it's better to call the customer w/ updates & such AND ALSO, DON'T COMPLETELY FORGOT YOUR CUSTOMERS EITHER! AND when they come to pick up their property " KNOW WHERE IT'S AT MAN"! LOL I give you all NO STARS but I will give you all a BIG...
Read moreI called about getting the screen relaced on my Samsung tablet. I was told they would have to order the screen & it would take 4/5 days for it to arrive. I took the tablet in on 2/16. They told me I could leave it there or pay $20 deposit & bring it back when the screen arrived. I chose to pay the deposit. They were to call me when the new screen came in . When I hadn't heard from them a week later, I called & was told maybe it would be in that day. I continued to wait & did not hear back from them til 3/7. I was told the screen had arrived & I could bring the tablet in to be repaired. I took the tablet in on 3/8. I later received a call telling me that the screen was not the right one & another would have to be re-ordered & that would take 2/3 days. First of all, I understand about delays in shipping, especially at this time but, if there was a delay I believe I should have been notified. Also, if there were delays, why was I told the re-order would take only 2-3 days? I also believe when the screen was received, it should have been inspected to make sure it was correct. I went back & collected my tablet & my $20 deposit. I'll be looking for a more professional business with better...
