EL RANCHERO MEXICAN RESTAURANT — Restaurant in Dalton

Overall It was really good place to eat, however I guess since being brand new they were completely understaffed. First the food was fantastic and at good prices. The salsa here is very different but different isn't always bad, Its not my favorite personally but that's ok because the food was really good. I got the lunch fajitas with chicken, shrimp and steak. I would definitely come back. However when I was there it looked like 2 people doing everything and it took away from our experience. I just expect a certain level of service and it's really reasonable. It was little things like it took a long time to get our food, we needed refills on drinks and salsa etc for way longer, had a menu question but after a couple failed attempts to get our waitresses attention we just gave up because we could tell they were so busy we kinda felt their stress, but also finally just had to go register to pay without our ticket. It's all prob just new and finding their way, so I will be back and hoping for the service to match the level of their food. I'd have no problem giving...

The service wasnt that great. There were approximately 5 waitresses but ONLY ONE was tending to the 4 or 5 tables of customers. We recognized her from Logan's she was a bar tender there but she was a badass nd still was here. She was doing her best to take care of the 4 or 5 tables by herself while the the other 4 waitresses including the hostess just walked around lazily ot doing anything productive from what I could tell. They didnt seat us right away, our original waitress didnt even ask us for refills or anything, nd again waited like 10 min for the hostess to come check us out since she was no where to be found and had a waiting area full of ppl that needed to be seated. The food was ok. I would try it again nd the prices were very reasonable especially alcoholic beverages. Huge browny points to that one waitress from Logan's! Your hospitality nd service was great despite the delays due to tending to every table in the house...

I can honestly say it was amazing how bad the service was. The only thing they got right the entire time was our initial drink orders. Waited at least twenty minutes to order, tried to order an El Ranchero special for 2 and a margarita on the rocks. Waited nearly an hour for food, had to reorder my margarita three times, and was brought a frozen margarita. Food finally comes. Completely wrong meal and a single order at that not a double. Then the bill. They charged us for two specials despite not even getting the one we ordered, took our card, and didn’t bring the card back. We had to go find them and get it after waiting nearly another twenty minutes. It was the worst dining experience of my life. I’ve been going here since they opened. It breaks my heart how bad it’s gotten. I will never be back nor ever recommend them to anyone again. If I could leave less that a one star...
