I went to the Walmart in Lynn and Saugus and neither had the item I was looking for. Danvers Walmart is 35-40 mins from where I live so I made sure to call ahead for product availability. As well as, making sure they would honor the online sale price. When I reached the self check out area, I asked the customer employee stationed there to adjust the price. I already had a feeling this wasnt going to end well based off of her body language, demeanor and facial expressions. She seemed angry or bothered that I even approached her. Iām not sure if this is a race thing or not, but she did not seem happy to service me. Any who, I explained how I called ahead, had visited 2 different stores prior to coming to this location and how far of a distance I had driven to pick up these items. Unfortunately, she could care less and was very cold. She would interrupt me, would speak over me and was aggressive whenever I attempted to show her my phone to prove the sale price. Rudely, she continued to say āit doesnāt matter whatās online, itās whatās on my phone. It doesnāt matter what your phone saysā. I let her know that I will walk over to the customer service desk and see what they can do. Other Walmart locations have no problem price adjusting. Whatās the big deal. Apparently, to this employee, it was a HUGE deal. When I let her know I will be walking over to customer service, she angrily says āwell whatever, theyāre going to tell you the same thing Iām telling you now. Good luck with thatā. I looked back and said āI would rather speak to customer service than spend another minute talking to you. Youāre being very rude.ā She snapped back with a little attitude but I was walking away and didnāt hear exactly what was said. I reached the customer service desk and it was no issue for the cashier to price adjust. She said absolutely. When the self check out employee sees me from a distance actually getting the sale price she denied, she BOLTS over to the customer service rep area and begins to haggle the cashier, telling her not to give me the sale, that itās not on their app, etc etc etc AGAIN, I reiterate, hey, I called in advance. Someone told me you guys would honor the price. I drove 35 mins to pick these up. Please. The woman looks over at the cashier and says āITS ONLY 5.78, ITS ONLY 5.78!!!ā She chuckled, sneering at me and shaming me, because although the item was fairly cheap, I remained adamate about receiving the sale price (which was $4.00). I looked her dead in the eyes and I said āI know exactly what youāre doing. You KNOW what YOURE doing. Donāt do that. You will not shame me because I cannot afford to buy these items, in bulk, at 5.78 a piece. Times are hard. I had just spent thousands on a new apartment and was looking for something super affordable at the moment. Long story short, we get into a screaming match at the customer service desk. Customers staring. A whole scene. Because I refused to allow a miserable, unfriendly, in-compassionate, no customer service skills individual ā disrespect and shame me. Not today. This is not the first time I come to this location and have had interactions with that woman that have left me feeling uncomfortable. She is never nice, polite, kind, never smiles, seems bothered by you, looks ANGRY. All the time. I will say the manager I spoke to afterwards was great and so was Maria, the customer service cashier. However, I will not be returning to...

If Cheers had a sequel and it took place inside a Walmart, it would be the Rochester Supercenter. I walk in and Karrin, Darcy, Norman, Russ, Amy, Sheila, and Ardell greet me like Iām Norm returning to the barābut instead of beer, Iām here for toothpaste and a rotisserie chicken. Their warm welcome and "thanks for coming in" never miss. Seriously, Iāve had less enthusiastic greetings at family reunions.
Megatron (yes, a real personānot a Transformer⦠probably), Becky (who Iām convinced has achieved full-time legend status), Jay Bob, and a rotating cast of fantastic employees I see nearly every day make it feel less like a store and more like a sitcom set I keep getting invited back to. It's like speed-dating kindnessāwith name tags and scanning guns.
The managers? Always present, always approachable, and somehow always smiling. Whether somethingās gone sideways in aisle 17 or someoneās trying to price match 47 bananas, they handle it with grace and keep the whole ship running like clockwork. You can feel the team spirit they help fosterāitās retail leadership done right.
Now letās talk floor heroes: there are three sets of twins scattered throughout the store, and itās like a fun little game of āWait⦠didnāt I just see you near the paper towels?ā These dynamic duos (x3!) are everywhereāstocking, helping, answering questions with Jedi-level patienceāand yes, itās both confusing and delightful.
Over at Customer Service, Trinity holds it down like the boss she isācalm, capable, and always two steps ahead of the next return, refund, or random request. If multitasking were an Olympic sport, sheād be bringing home gold.
The Walmart app helps me navigate like a seasoned explorer, and the staff are quick to point me in the right direction if I look even slightly lost (which is often).
Finally, checkout is a breeze thanks to Jasmine, Matilda, and the rest of the register wizards. They keep the lines moving with lightning speed and a sense of humor that makes even buying kitty litter feel special.
Rochester Walmart isnāt just a store. Itās a cast of characters, a daily reunion, and a feel-good place where the community shines.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreWould definitely not recommend ordering online and pick up from this store. I placed a order for same day pick up for four items early in the AM I received a email confirmation that they received my order and they are working on it and that I would receive another email when itās time to head to the store. Well like I said I placed this order early in the morning so I waited till about 2pm and went to check my email, Nothing so I checked the Walmart app .. Nothing , All it said was Oder was in progress ..So I waited till 6pm checked my email again,Nothing, checked the app again Nothing .. So I decided to call the store, It said press 3 for pick up So a women answers and says can you please hold ...after about 15mins on hold getting very frustrated I hung up and decided to call back No answer I preceded to call back 3 more times and each time NO answer!!! So I went back on the app and spoke with customer service on chat which said they would alert the store and to try back in a few mins.. So I waited a few mins called the store again and this time it was a guy who answered and told me they cannot find my order and put me on hold I waited a few mins and a women came onto the phone and I gave her all the info about my order just like I had already done with the first person who answered the phone, She said they cannot find my order , Iām like ok I can see it on the app I also received a email confirmation but you cannot see my order ? No I told you already I cannot see your order So Iām like okay I have already paid for my order so what should I do?! She then proceeded to tell me to cancel the order which I did and I received my money back right away. Anyway the whole thing was such a hassle!! I thought the whole point of pick up was the convenience This was definitely not convenient . The next day I decided to try Targets pick up and my order was ready in about 1 hour. That was convenient and easy and I didnāt have to get the run around about them not being able to find my order, So good luck if you place a pick up...
