Prime Roast Beef & Pizza — Restaurant in Danvers

I hardly leave bad reviews but I also hardly encounter places like this either. My experience was bad from the start. First of all, as soon as I walked in the door the entire atmosphere was off. Not welcoming at all! The energy shifted as soon as I walked in, for whatever reason. On top of that nobody even said hello. As a paying customer I shouldn't be the first one to say "hello, how are you?"

Anyways, I can get over the lack of enthusiasm. I place one simple order: well done steak tip dinner. I asked them if they could cook the tips in BBQ sauce... Not a difficult or odd request. I am not from the area and my typical pizza place does it no problem even though it's not advertised on the menu. They told me they could put it on the side. Okay, what difference does it make? You have steak tips, you have BBQ... just throw it on the grill together. Not personable at all, just bad customer service. How hard is it to turn around and say, "hey boss, the girl wants bbq sauce. Think you can manage?" Nope.

Okay, I got over that too and still gave them my money. When I went back in to get my food, again... the atmosphere was off. You ever walk into a room and feel like everybody was just making fun of you? Well it was like that. Which is incredibly rude given I just handed over my hard earned money.

Got the food and it's trash. Presentation is sloppy. Everything was piled on top of each other. Onion rings were tasteless, definitely need Salk or seasoning (who wants fries AND onion rings anyways?) Steak tips had alright flavor as far as marinade goes but they were chewy and not well done at all, zero char. Fries were the best thing and even they tasted like dirt. Before we begin, why do I review Godly Man, Family man, Navy vet, lover of food and good places, and believes in sharing my experience to help you. I didn't come here to get pizza. It looked and smelled awesome. I will come back for pizza one day. No I was here for the Roast Beef sandwich. I had heard about this place and wanted to go try it. Best part, right around corner from my hotel The roast beef was cooked just right and sliced perfectly thin for full flavor I definitely did it a three-way because that was what was suggested that I do. It was good and I would definitely do it again. Although I love my sauces I would definitely do less sauce on this with a three-way because I felt it was taking the way from the roast beef itself which really is the main reason for the sandwich. I will come back and get a couple more different roast beef sandwiches they have on their menu and try a few other things but the bottom line is they definitely know what they're doing and they're cooking some good roast beef and slicing it and making sandwiches with amazing love a good old fashioned family way. Customer service from Mark was terrible. I have been ordering from them very regularly since covid. The food is very good but accuracy with ordering is sub-par. I have had to call at least 3 times over the last 5 orders. Today I asked in an online note for red velvet be substituted for a carrot cake (red velvet is not available online). When I didn't get what I requested I called. Mark was arguing and very rude when explaining to me why it didn't get put in the bag. He said the person that bags the food doesn't read the note and the person that delivers it doesn't bag it. Hmm.. no accountability. 1st off, do you not see the ticket?? There are extra words there do they apply to me? Let me check. 2nd when delivery driver reads the note one would think he would say hey, did you put a red velvet in there? Not for nothing but I always give a $10 since covid. I will not be ordering from them again. Time to find a new place to...
