Into the dungeon of our basement, they plunged without fear of the beast that awaited them – a security system from the late 80s; which needed a serious upgrade! Below we could hear chatter, when one would emerge to reach higher ground on the second floor or out into the laundry room, disappearing yet again into the basement. I hired this company to provide security for my business. First they sent me a 70 year old man who weighed probably over 300 lbs and couldn't be on his feet for more than ten min at a time to do the job I wanted. So I called and complained and then they sent me an 18 year old kid who was sloppily dressed and wouldn't stay off his cell phone. I asked the kid about his previous security experience and training and he stated he had none. Get this, he said before Per Mar he worked as a traveling carnival worker. So they sent me an 18 year old ex-carney with ZERO previous security experience or training to keep my business and customers crime free. Needless to say I didn't feel safe at all. I subscribed to security with ABC alarm in 1996. ABC was acquired by Per Mar a few years later. ABC always checked our system regularly. We rent this building to different people. The phone number has changed several times and now is shut off. I had no idea shutting off phone service affected the service, consequently my building was not alarmed for motion or fire for over 5 years, but Per Mar continued to bill me every month. They did nothing for those 5 years except bill me. They never once checked connectivity or anything else. They now refuse to credit me for the time.
