I have shopped here a couple times. The place does have an odor but it’s a small grocer and an old building. They have some odds and ends. Friendly people.
They do, however, lack in their awareness of best by and expiration dates. Today I stopped by for eggs. They have today’s Best Buy date in them. Priced at $4.99. Kroger is priced similarly for a dozen. I asked the cashier if they had any eggs in the back which didn’t have today’s date on them. He told me eggs were in aisle 1. I asked again. He said no.
If I weren’t paying attention I would have bought eggs which would need to be eaten quickly. I would have bought a dozen if the price reflected the best by date. I won’t pay 5 bucks for eggs with today’s date. Makes me wonder what other items may be expired or nearing expiration...
Read moreI’m really impressed with the improvements this store has made! Their meat deals are great, and the overall environment is much better than before. The old owner’s shop not only had a bad smell but also sold many expired products.
Thankfully, the new management has completely turned that around—they’ve cleaned up the store, and everything feels fresh and well-maintained now.
Customer service is friendly and respectful, and they’re making an effort to add more variety to their products. The Ohio Lottery counter also looks much nicer than before. Overall, a very positive...
