Ponitz Career Technology Center — Local services in Dayton

Tonight was the Thergood vs Ponitz game. My son was excited to go, I worked all day and was tired, so I ordered him an Uber to get to Ponitz. The Uber dropped him off at 7:45pm. at 7:50, he calls me and tells me that I need to come get him, because he stepped outside and was told there would be no reentry, that he would have to pay another $10.00 to get in. I got in my vehicle and drove to dayton from Huber to go get my child. I went in and explained the situation to the older, husky, manly looking black women, who was security for the evening and she told me that there were several signs stating that there would be no reentry, that the children need to read. I’m livid at this point, thinking of the cash for the Uber and the money my son just spent went to waste! I understand rules are rules; however that’s what’s wrong with the youth today, poor examples from adults who lack empathy towards them! I’m sure if it was one of her family members or someone she knew, she would not have been so callous and cold hearted! My takeaway from this situation is for my son to be sure he read the signs and that that particular older woman feels that she had a point to prove with taking money from a child. Don’t ever bring yourself or others here. NEVER EVER. Some teachers can’t even teach, a handful of ‘students’ have no decorum, manners, self-awareness, respect, mindfulness, etc. the bathrooms are barely open, and if they are, too many kids are in there, the front office is just too much, this school can’t be trusted with holding onto phones, it gets so unclean at times, some parts within the building are falling apart or need fixing, as well as the fact that they do not do enough when it comes to giving out consequences to certain people AT ALL. Especially with these fights and people sneaking in illicit drugs and what not. The fact that they removed the requirements to apply at this school, which was one having to write essay and go through an interview a couple years ago made this school so much WORSE beyond words. And last but not least, the outside of the school is filled with trash, gum, the geese and its droppings around its perimeter and field right by it. If you can, just go to another school. They barely have clubs too, which is such a disappointment. I don’t even know how I managed to survive four years in this so called “school”. Absolutely unbelievable. This school sucks don’t go here it’s dirty they got rats and all typa bugs and stuff the teachers are not educated tge principle and administrators don’t care abt us I had a incident where I had to go to the bathroom really bad like really bad and i had to wait 10 mins but my teacher gave me a pass den I told one of the administrators to open the restroom because it was an emergency and I couldn’t hold it he told me I had to wait and stuff he started pushing me to go to class I even pushed him so he can get out my way they ain’t open the bathroom up till I started crying they do not care about us do not go here there...
