As I came to Dayton Ohio I was looking for things that were a little off the beaten path I had just came from the American Packard museum it was pristine and gorgeous in every way then I came to this museum and I was more impressed then I could ever imagine while not being in the greatest part of town and being a little out of the way the trip is well worth your time it might be in an old rundown building but the people running this museum have more heart and grit than any pristine museum could ever dream of having when I walked in it looked like an old open floor Warehouse with a bunch of cars stuffed in it but when you peel back the layers each car is magnificent in every way it is what a true car museum should be it had jaguars it had Dustin's mini coopers a Rolls-Royce phantom 1 it had a lot to offer none of them are in pristine condition some of them had flat tires there was a lot of dust and not all the lights worked but the gentleman that was showing us around had a gleam in his eye that could only be described as pride he was so proud to show off all the work they had accomplished with a shoe string budget and a lot of determination and passion these men are presenting these vintage cars the way a common man would present these cars not behind glass not behind Velvet rope but in the true spirit of car collectors around the world in garages in back alleys under dust covers but in their true real world working Man form to anyone who is deciding what they should do in Dayton my advice to you is to come to this museum first don't take it on its first glance let the people show you what I'm talking about you will be very surprised and you'll leave there with a...

This is the kind of museum without pomp and circumstance, it's a roll up your sleeves and jump in and appreciate how influential Britain has been on the world of transportation. The Prez Pete Stroble is a super cool car guy and Charlie our guide was extremely knowledgeable and an entertaining storyteller. This is a must if you are a gear head. It completely exceeded my...
Read moreWe showed up at the Packard museum to find it closed so when looking for something else to do near by, we stumbled onto the Brittish Transportation Museum. It's in the old Kroger warehouse and corporate offices building. A fact we learned from our tour guide, Charlie. The museum runs on donations. We gave a little at the beginning and gave more before we left because we had such a nice tour. The museum is not fancy, just a concrete building with cars with people "wrentching" on vehicls and working on the building at the same time. Charlie gave us a tour and was knowledgeable of the cars which made the tour interesting. The museum is kept alive through volunteers and generous car donations and loaners from enthusiasts. Even if you're not into cars, it's a nice walk through history...
