Wow, what poor customer service. Got hell from Kenny the moment I walked in for having not enough steel. Said anything less than 200 lbs, was not worth their time. Told me I had to go through the whole process of fingerprinting, IDing, etc even though I said I had been there multiple times before. He complained that any little bit is not worth his time or his workers time. I said I didnât need the money, just wanted to recycle and I got the most sarcastic âthank you for recyclingâ and he pointed me out to the scale area.
I met with one of his guys who I told I just wanted to drop off. He asked for my ID, sent me on the scales to the back. I unloaded everything myself, drove back and went to the shack to ask if I was good to go. Whole process took 8 minutes with me doing all the unloading. Kenny storms out complaining about wasting his time again, his workers, that Iâm ripping him off, etc. His worker was giving me $2.30 for work that I did and I told him I didnât even want the money (I left it on the counter for his workerâs tip because at least he was nice).
Look, you can tell this guy has no clue what customer service is. This is the 4th and last time I go there. The first two times I was told (by Kenny) both âmy guy is out to lunch. Donât know when heâll be back,â and âI donât work in the lightningâ on an overcast but otherwise not stormy day.
Shame this is the only place nearby. Guess Iâll drive further to do my part for the...
Read moreI WAS ROBBED. I have been a faithful customer for years until recently. I came in with a truckload of mixed products and everything was pulled and separated then placed on the scale according to its type (cooper, aluminum, motors, etc). After everything was weighed, I got my money and sent on my way. I pulled out and realized my money was short so I turned around and talked to the person at the scale about it. There was a little bit of the product left on the scale, probably 1/4 maybe 1/3 still there. I looked at the weight and it said 52 lbs. His way of making it right was paying me for 70 lbs knowing I had at least 130-150 lbs of material. I did call and talk to the owner who was willing to pay me up to 100 lbs but no more than that. They shorted me twice and once I caught them they still refused to give me my full payout. BEWARE IF YOU GO HERE AND ALWAYS CHECK YOUR TICKET BEFORE YOU STEP OFF THE PLATFORM- YOU COULD BE NEXT. *For the record, I never returned, we never agreed on a "fair reimbursement", and you DID NOT give me anything and for you to state that you did is a lie. So on top of thieving, you are adding lying to your...
Read moreNot to impressed with the man weighing the scrap metal. I was there for the first time this week. He was a little snappy to me about ask questions if you don't know. Like I've been going there all the time. He talks fast & need to speak up a little so we can hear. Now I was there today for the second time. It was only 9:30 & was snappy to me again. He made a big deal about it when I drove out into the parking lot & back on the scale not knowing the they weigh the radiators in the front. Instead of maybe a smile or a laugh he makes a big deal about it. Gets up on the scale & stops me while he is standing on it & He asked me "How much do I weigh" & then he turns around & asked me again "Now How much do I weigh". I did the turn around & back on the scale thinking I needed to go out back again. I been in business for 38+ years now & still going & I don't I snap at people like that. The rest of my clean Aluminum goes somewhere else. PS I was the guy that was in...
