Not what it used to be when first opened (&/or when it came to Florida years ago). Gone, in most cases, is the attentive & knowledgeable pro staff, but that's really symptomatic of almost everywhere nowadays. What they have certainly retained is solid pricing & their great full page ads that often find & show them to be the cheapest by far out of everywhere. Furthermore, if you can handle & efficiently navigate the checkout (& pick-up process for larger goods in the back), you can get in & out of there in no time without ever facing any aggressive sales tactics or pressure from an annoying salesperson (or even seeing a salesperson) & not only will you have your purchase in your hand (or being delivered, same-day free of charge & often with them also removing the old item), but also with an unparalleled price deal. Now the downside, returns & the entire return department can go smooth OR end up being an absolute nightmare & I truly don't know (&can't figure out the rhyme or reason for) how they decide which option they are going to put you through. I think they just spin a wheel. Furthermore, more embarrassing is that quite often many employees (& sometimes nearly all including managers) haven't a clue about what items they sell, or (worse) even what items they stock, or carry to begin with (For your entertainment, I Reference the SodaStream CO2 cartridge refill debacle of 2017-2018 which took four months to get straight & in the end there was ONE PERSON IN THE ENTIRE STORE, a warehouse manager, who knew they didn't carry the product refills, despite the claims made over the phone, the staff's beliefs, the manager's confirmations, the return dept's assurances & even the check out girls (who were placed live at 'ground zero') confirmations, all of them not only of the belief they did (& claiming it on the phone each time I'd call), yet every time I came in with my empty canister & $19 to make the exchange, they'd take it, walk around, look for the crate of new ones & hand me back an empty canister in exchange for my empty canister (& sometimes with the seal obviously, clear ripped off to go along with the much lighter empty canister indicating prior usage. This happened THREE times, out of four visits over four months with several managers dutifully calling me on the dates that the new refills had come in & yet, I visit & get an empty canister again (once having to actually wait over an hour to get my incorrect, yet new empty canister). At the end of the fourth visit & the fourth month, some trainee calls back on CB to the warehouse manager, who radios back in mere seconds; (1)"We don't carry that, never did" (2)"Tell him that he should go to Walmart, they have it cheapest@$15" & (3) "I told them to throw that crate of empty canisters away years ago!" (which, best of all, wasn't former product EVER, but rather all just EITHER formerly collected returns from people who'd exchanged one empty for another empty & never returned &/or other canisters originally just left accidentally (or on purpose) by frustrated customers who decided to just buy a new one with no exchange at Walmart or via direct from SodaStream (& either at full price). They NEVER carried it. How CLASSIC! Still, if you know your stuff &/or are competant doing your own research, this is my favorite spot for nearly all electronics & appliances, especially new brands that perform great but sell megacheap. I do miss those old private sales the night before after closing time till midnight, please bring those back! Otherwise, SodaStream included, I can never stay mad at...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIāve always enjoyed shopping at Brandsmart but today, I experienced a situation which is fundamentally really sad and shows how much racism and rudeness exists nowadays. It proves that we as a society have gone backwards these past few years. I first of all am not even a bit racist. I live by the golden rule and try to be as kind as possible to all others, to all animals and pets, plants and insects with the exception of roaches.
Today, my wife and I went to the Brandsmart store in Deerfield Beach. We went shopping to expand our Ring doorbell system and to obtain a camera system to monitor our pets. So we enter the store and find the Ring camera section on the first floor. Thereās an African American customer in the same section and an African American store employee. My goal was to grab a box or two of the different video cameras and read the specs to see which one would work best for us. So I approached the section, the two fellows were there talking but they proceeded to totally ignore that I too was looking to make a purchase. I didnāt really want to interrupt them since they were in a conversation, I kinda just wanted to see if they would step back a little and or move aside a bit so I can grab a couple of boxes and read them and examine them nearby with my wife. Well, these two totally ignored me and almost seemed like they intentionally blocked my view of the 6 to 8 foot section of Ring products. I then decided to stand there for a bit and see if I was just imagining this. Well, I wasnāt imagining this they both were extremely rude, no manners and apparently still have a chip on their shoulders.
Iāve decided to write this because itās pretty sad the people treat each other like this. I served in the US Navy and served my country. Itās sad to think that veterans and active duty military personnel serve and put their lives on the line to defend this nation but many people who reside in it, are not worthy of the sacrifices weāve made for our country. Itās even sadder to know so many died for this nation so we can live in freedom and many inhabitants of this nation just suck as Americans and as human beings. This an example of how little people care about each other, how much racism we have in our cities and how much I prefer to purchase online and have it shipped to my home and stay away from these types of people.
My suggestion is that this store needs to train their staff to be courteous to all customers...not just the ones that wear the same skin color. A similar anti-bias training that Starbucks did is...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe are absolutely devastated by our experience with purchasing from Brandsmart. What a huge regret. We bought an LG TV during black friday, because we knew we were purchasing our home and would be moving in this month and wanted a nice new tv. We finally unboxed it and set up the tv, and it has a green line going vertically down the right side of the screen. There is also a purple line going horizontally across the screen. They sold us a defective TV. & not to mention, this tv quality is absolutely terrible compared to how they had it on display, so we feel like we were screwed in that aspect too. We called Brandsmart and they pretty much told us oh well. If you want another tv, we can maybe give you a discount. When we just spent $400 on a TV that was sold to us defective, why would we spend more money and purchase another? Then we called LG, and they had a tech from brandsmart come to our house. The tech from Brandsmart saw the tv was fresh out of the box with the plastic still on it & product was defective. The tech from Brandsmart had to call LG and the guy at LG kept saying its our fault that we damaged it! Absolutely gaslighting us when we know 10000% we did nothing wrong and the product was sold to us like this. Then the tech had to call his boss and they ordering a replacement screen but has no idea how long this process will take and it might not fix our issue. The tech from brandsmart was amazing, and we appreciate him, he is not the issue. The issue is Brandsmart selling us a defective product & LG being no help and saying we damaged our TV. PLEASE LET US RETURN THE TV OR EXCHANGE IT! WE DO NOT WANT THIS TV! IT IS TOTALLY UNFAIR TO SPEND SO MUCH ON A PRODUCT AND THIS HAPPENS AND WE JUST HAVE TO SETTLE FOR IT? BRANDSMART YOU NEED TO MAKE THIS RIGHT. ABSOLUTELY UNFAIR TO PUT CUSTOMERS IN THESE SITUATIONS!
update: to add insult to injury today we spoke with 2 different employees on the phone who told us to bring the tv in to see what could be done. we packed up the 65 inch tv, drove there, carried it in, and were told they couldnāt do anything until monday and doesnāt know why an employee would tell us to bring it in. this has escalated the situation immensely im truly going to be contacting the BBB and consumer affairs. absolutely cannot believe we just brought that tv to be turned around to bring...
