Where do I start? I ordered the beignets that come with the pecan sauce yesterday. I got some beignets and let my kid try one and she did not like it. They gave me syrup instead of the pecan sauce that came with the order, like 🤔 huh. I spoke with the manager Diane(this name came be spelled differently so pardon me if I misspelled it) she said she will check to see if there was a bottle of the sauce left and if so she will make some fresh ones and make the sauce. She did find a bottle left 😂. My thing is, why not do the job right in the first place. Shouldn’t the company have provided the sauce and not give me some syrup. At first she was saying they should have told me they was out of sauce and then it changed to: let me see if we have a bottle left. Then the syrup was not good, it looked dangerous and oily. The old lady at the front named Mary assumed I didn’t pay for the order which grind my gears. After she seen me collect the order from the other associate. Mary seems a little biased, I don’t wanna say the R word, but Mary seems a little off with people like myself, was it the dreads I dont know. People with dreads don’t steal and the order clearly said online, you can’t make an online order without paying. That’s not my first run in with Mary by the way 😂. I don’t like using the R word but it’s a bit suspicious. I’ve included a picture of the oily death trap. I have ordered the Mac n cheese and it was soupy. If you do order, order things people cannot mess up like fries or fried shrimp…pancakes and biscuits to name a few. Things like the country fried steak which their breading doesn’t stay on are things to watch out for. The steak had a kind of meat bloody taste. I didn’t expect that taste since it was fried. Not everything is bad here. The fries are...
Read moreThe service at this Cracker Barrel is incredible, and what makes it special is truly the people! A very special shout out to the manager and to Diane for their assistance with the "Holiday Heat & Serve" catering order. They were both AMAZING!
With that said, and unfortunately, we were very disappointed with the "Holiday Heat & Serve" catering meal. We were told it'd take about an hour to prep (I believe the directions indicate 2 hours). We planned to eat at around 3:30 pm so we started preparing everything at 1:30 pm, so the food would be nice and warm. We didn't finish until 5:30 pm, an entire 4 hours! My husband and I were sweating in the kitchen trying to hurry and missing out on family time as our guests patiently waited to eat. After all that work we expected an amazing meal, but sadly the ham was the only delicious item (and I'm a huge Cracker Barrel fan). The sweet potato casserole was very watery and we had to pre-mix the cornbread dressing ourselves but the ingredients were off. It was truly heart-wrenching to have spent $350 for the convenience of a prepared meal, only for it to have been the most stressful holiday meal we've ever prepared. It got us stuck in the kitchen for 4 hours, missing out on precious family time. If I could go back, we would've just purchased the ham a-la-carte and asked guests to brings sides or purchased them ready-made at Publix.
I searched high and low for reviews on the "Holiday Heat & Serve" meal before we ordered to no avail, so we're sharing our honest experience in the hope that it helps others in the future. With that said, we will continue to dine here because of the great food and people, but sadly no more "Holiday Heat & Serve" meals...
Read moreWe have been here many many times before, but this time was different. It was super busy, but we didn’t have to wait long.we had a great experience with Angela. She was such a delight. She was professional. She gave me the auntie feel we felt right at home she was attentative she came to check on us from time to time to make sure we were all right or if we needed anything we both tried lunch for the first time we usually get breakfast and when I say the fried chicken was a delight, it really was the only thing I would suggest is different kinds of hot sauce as the ones that you have were too tangy and I didn’t like them the honey was a great feel on my chicken so I just ate that we had cornbread and biscuits and all of the waitresses and hostesses kept them coming The tea tasted nice The next time we come back, we’re gonna probably ask for Angela thank you, Angela for making us feel right at home. You had Service with a smile. And you’re super nice. Also the guy at the register who helped me with the candy. He was nice to the young guy curly hair kind of brownish. I think he was new cause I never saw him there before. He explained the reward points to me and also asked me if I had the reward points you know sometimes we forget to use our points but he reminded me each time I checked out with my Food and he also reminded me again to use my reward points you guys have a great team here a nice mixture, young and older adults so everybody can relate to everybody I also had a chitchat with the manager at the candy table, and an older lady helped me with the basket to purchase my items, everybody I came in contact with was super friendly and super...
