Gem Mint Cards — Local services in DeLand

The shop is nice and they are energetic people I can tell they like the job but only thing I hate is the pricing. As cards get harder to buy and the value of them keep rising …the rate they buy at keeps dropping. They are the lowest paying shop around which would be at 50% for cards $10 and up doesn’t matter if it’s a $100 card. Crazy cuz on the phone she told me she would give me $60 for a $100 card then when there she only gives $50 and said she never said that when we cleared it multiple times on the phone 🤦‍♂️ i could’ve went across the street and got $65 or trainers backpack and got $75 …. Only sold cuz they were close to me and had to be somewhere . Sucks but if this shop did better on prices or didn’t lie on the phone about what they buy for then it would be a good shop . It’s clean and looks nice can’t take that from them and they do give aways for players … but again that buying price is the lowest in central Florida most shops start at 60% buying...

But there’s one rule: dap up Brian when you walk in.

I thought they were joking.

I went in last Friday, just wanting a couple of booster packs. Brian was standing behind the counter. He held out his hand. I ignored it, gave a half-wave, and went straight to the singles case.

Dead silence.

The other players stared. I heard one of them mutter, “There goes another one.”

Brian sighed. “Damn bro,” he said. Then he snapped his fingers.

Suddenly reality folded inward. The shop around me dissolved into an endless abyss of darkness.

Overall though i give this place a 5/5 it was the best place to hangout in deland. My only regret is I forgot to dap up Brain, now l’m permanently banished to this hell please send help I really wanna go back to cracking packs...

My wife and I went down this afternoon to check them out on their opening day.

This has got to be the cleanest, most friendly shop I’ve ever been to. The shop owner- whose name I can’t remember, which is a shame since he seems like a genuine, super cool dude- was incredibly friendly, very knowledgeable about all the games they sell there, and seems genuinely interested in connecting with the community.

They’ve got a nice sized play area in the back, and great prices on everything. The price gouging at Buy, Sell, Play over on New York Ave is not present here at all. I actually hope the guy sells his stuff for a LITTLE more so he can ensure enough profit to stay around. Lol I plan on going here pretty often; my wife and I went to buy just one pack, but bought four instead. I can’t wait to further support Gem Mint Cards and see how the community at...
