Bill Dreggors Park — Attraction in DeLand

This is a really great park for kids of all ages. They have a smaller section for the 2-5 year olds that my 3 year old loves.it is quite large but still small enough to chase behind the littles. Then they have a much much larger section for the 5 and older kids that my daughter absolutely loves. There are plenty of slides and even a little treehouse at the top of the tallest slide. And my 6 year olds favorite thing there is of course the zipline.. We spend about 2 hours there every visit and they play up until the moment we leave,without a single complaint or cry of boredom. It really is a great park with tons to do. Also behind the parking lot and bathroom there is a little trail that takes u to a gazebo and past that is a wonderful little secret garden which my girls just love. Then past the garden there is another trail that goes around the whole property that has little stops with exercise equipment that are all fun and free to use. this is a little hidden gem in DeLand! the Butterfly Sanctuary is quite small and, unfortunately, i didn’t see any butterflies other than the large sculpture. the park itself take up a good bit of space with its large playground, 4 covered pavilions with picnic tables, and many benches. it’s a great place to come to for a little walk, breath of fresh air, or to host a picnic, cookout, gathering, or birthday party. there’s plenty of parking all around, nice public bathrooms, and water fountains. it’s also home of the DeLand Memorial Hospital and...

There are great number of fun swings, slides, and such. The playground actually contains two adjoining play areas. One is for younger kids, and one is for older. The entire play area has a "floor" of a spongy material that is bound to make the inevitable spill or fall much safer and produce fewer boo-boos. I saw two pavilions, there may be more.
