Today was my first time trying this little produce market. I purchased a fresh made salad which was packaged beautifully and everything inside was fresh with vibrant colors, and good crunch. I also purchased a bag of yams, and a head of purple cabbage both looked of great quality, and I personally felt the prices were fair in comparison to the quality you receive from the grocery stores. I felt they had a wonderful selection for what is currently in season along with some great shelf items that you don’t typically see. I loved that they carry items from the whistle stop Café company. As a southern girl that spoke to my heart. The staff Was very cheery and upbeat. The vibe was very welcoming and comfortable. My only complaint which is what led to me taking one star away was the smell that hit me as soon as I opened the door. It was like a mix of drain funk and Pine-Sol. It was extremely unpleasant and almost nauseating. As far as the actual shop itself, I think it is fantastic and I...
Read moreThis place is very close to us within walking distance. Kinda think these are the second owners. Formerly Ernie's produce. Yes, it was filling station years back. We would use this place more often but they do-not offer certified organic produce. Sadly, much of produce growth in florida is still raised in soil poisoned thru years of petro- chemical pesticides & petro chemical based non-organic fertilizers. Am not sure that even being grown canned/ bottled by Amish makes much of a difference. Our experience has shown organic fruits & veggies don't have a long shelf life as do commerical produce. Problem one reason why produce stand sell mostly commercial...
Read moreLocally owned and operated. Has been in same location for decades. I can walk to it from the residence I'm staying in during the pandemic. The employees are friendly and helpful. On my last visit they were only allowing 5 shoppers in at one time to follow distancing guidelines. My only gripe is how pricey some items are. I eyeballed my total before I reached the register and it was $5 higher. It didn't add up the same when I got home either but I let the issue go. The fruits & veges all looked fantastic except the...
