Deltona Commons — Local services in Deltona

This is a little shopping center on Deltona Boulevard. You may have heard a story about a murder here in Deltona at a Family Dollar Store years ago. It's changed over the years and the Family Dollar store isn't there anymore. Winn-Dixie isn't there anymore and many other stores have left also. It's just gotten new stores there but there is a barber shop that's been there a long time now. I go here because there is a store called Duvall's. I call it the Duval's house and it is a thrift store. I have lost weight and I have gone in there and have bought myself a new wardrobe. I just love their clothes. Walmart just doesn't do it for me. I've gotten some beautiful outfits from there with tags where people haven't even worn these clothes. I have gotten other goodies from there to. The last time I went I got a comforter it keeps me nice and warm. I've also recently gotten a little cabinet that I'm refinishing and when I'm done I'm giving it to Mama. It was painted an icky color so I'm stripping it and I'm going to Varnish it when I'm done so you can see the beautiful grain in the wood. Yes, it's made from real wood not this pressed stuff. I've taken a picture and shown it to her and she likes it so I'm halfway done with it it's going to be hers really soon.

I like going here because the money goes for a good cause. The prices are very reasonable and you just can't go wrong. If there's something that you came in to get or see if they had it just ask them if they do have it in their check in the back. That's what happened with the comforter. It wasn't on the floor so she checked in the back and tada Daa, there was one in the back and she brought it out for me and I bought it. There has only been once or twice I've gone in there looking to see if they might have a blouse or something and I walked out with nothing but usually I go in there and I can spend time just looking around because there's so much in there that I always leave with something. Not only do they have a lot of clothes but books and I have bought many a book there. I have been downsizing and I have given them all the things that I haven't wanted clothes knickknacks you name it. In fact I have some clothes and other goodies that I'm going to drop by as soon as I have everything all together. It's nice to donate to them because it's for such a great cause. When I drop my things off I then go inside but they also do pick ups by appointment. I just love...

Publix ,a hair Cuttery, and a Chinese restaurant are here. They must have recently put a pizza hut take out here because I just noticed yesterday when I went to Publix to get my prescription and a couple things I needed. Only thing I don't like about this Publix is they do have have sushi. I like to go to the one on Howland Blvd and get some California rolls. I wish the Publix at Deltona Commons offer this because it would be a colser drive for me. Also I have never used Publix pharmacy until yesterday. I usually go to Walmart because they have some medications for $4. ( I don't have any insurance ) I didn't know Publix has the same Rx for free. Can't better a...

Clean stores, Super staff. The kids that work here are fabulous, I can't say enough about the quality of customer service here, their price level is a bit too stiff I feel for the produce...they were charging $1.50 ea. For a wilted cucumber! NUTS. So I stick to purchases I need or sales.
