I went there today since I live an 1hr 30min hoping to get some cards today from an old set. An last time I was there I was welcomed and given a good bargain last time so it what inspired me to make the trip to come back again today. Today was the worst experience. When I went back to get the set I wanted last time I was lecture into how the card game community I was in was dying and the box I was getting was considered "pointless" as not everyone in the current community doesn't play it, which kind of upsetted me since i really wanted it for nostalgia reason. This affected my mood and made me reconsidered not to buy the box so I told the person I changed my mind. He than proceeded to prod me and ask "I'm sorry you changed your mind can you explain to me why you have an attitude and seemed irritated?". To me this was considered an insult as he thought I was an issue on how I reacted. The reason I gave it a two was just how my fellow friends thought how rude it was for one of your employees to question a customer in what their buying and lecturing them in how pointless it was for their order when they were already set and excited to getting it only to be brought down and have there excitement killed as they think the order they wanted was pointless and not "in the current play as it wasn't competitive". I will return soon but once I do it will be my final visit as I was extremely disappointed in the rude...
Read moreThis may get confusing because of the number of people named Andrew involved, but stick with me.
I love this location. Myself and a friend just recently discovered the place despite it being within walking distance of where one of us lives. The owners and operators we have worked with, Andy and Andrew, are terrific.
My friend and I recently started getting into Star Wars Destiny and this shop has been a huge boon for us, and not only because they're the most conveniently located game shop for us to attend. Andy knows the game, and was able to help us get ours decks started by selling us a premade deck of the commons and uncommons from the SoR set for a crazy good price, and helping my friend and I acquire booster boxes (that we haven't picked up yet, so they're even accommodating the fact that we can't make it in there until our day off). T
he store does serious business for Friday Night Magic, with tournaments every week. The spot is kid friendly, the neighborhood is great (right near a police station, which certainly helps). I look forward to being an avid consumer of whatever Storm Surge has to offer for...
Read moreI purchased Dragon Shield sleeves from this card shop, and the box came up short on the promised quantity. I reached out to the seller expecting a simple resolution—whether that be a partial refund, replacement, or any reasonable gesture of good faith. Instead, I was told to take it up with the manufacturer because it “wasn’t their fault.”
While I understand manufacturing errors happen, as a customer, my transaction was with the store—not Dragon Shield. The seller should take responsibility and handle the issue with their supplier, not push that burden onto me.
What made things worse was the dismissive attitude and eventual insinuation that I might be lying or trying to scam them, despite me being open and cooperative from the start. I tried multiple times to find a fair solution, and every time was met with resistance or blame-shifting.
This experience has completely eroded my trust. Losing a customer over $11, just to avoid accountability, says a lot. It’s not about the money—it’s about doing right by the people who support...
