Family Fare Supermarket — Local services in Denton Township

I usually don't write bad reviews on any place or try to bash anyone. But a few weeks ago me my husband and two kids go into family fare. Like we always do, we love the shopping experience, always stocked, fresh food. But one issue rude customer service. My oldest son has adhd so it may be difficult for others to understand, long story short he had organic eggs and dropped them. He said sorry and even offered to help. The cashier whose named Ash was a little rude. Maybe she had a long day, so I didn't say much I said sorry and that he has adhd but also had been in the store for a long time. We came back a few days after and she rudely Said You don't have any eggs do you, because I don't feel like cleaning them up. FOR ONE Its her job and for second she shouldn't be rude especially to an 8 year old. So for anyone who goes into family fare when you see Ash say by the way I don't have any eggs. Maybe this could be a punishment for being rude to a family who comes in and shops daily. I just had my youngest 7 months ago yes we like family fare and it's close by. We just want a simple apology, that she has not given us. So until then I won't be nice Maybe she will...

OMG I AM IN SHOCK! I went into the deli to get chicken and the older lady that works in the deli, yelled help yourself, it’s so busy I can’t keep up with the chicken, so I said oh okay, so I took some chicken and finished shopping for my dinner, here comes the lady in the deli storming and stomping towards me, and she took the chicken out of my basket and yelled at me, she said “ DONT EVER GO IN MY DELI CASE WITHOUT ASKING EVER AGAIN” I said I thought you said to help myself, she said no I didn’t, I was so shocked. We love Family Fare, just can't shop there often living in SE Michigan. Every time we're up north and need something, we go to Family Fare.

We were heading from Houghton Lake to Mesick to take a disabled elderly friend some groceries. Instead of hitting the Family Fare in Cadillac we thought we would check out the Houghton Lake store.

Having not been there, we weren't sure where anything was. It was laid out well enough and marked well we found everything quickly, except the sliced pineapple. Apparently they don't do any fruit or anything on weekends they said. We were disappointed not to get her pineapple she looked forward to, and I did have to stop at Meijer. We still loved our visit!
