Extremely Disappointed I had a terrible experience at Cheeky Denver and feel strongly that others should be warned. I initially paid a $200 deposit, then spent over $3,100 in total, only to end up with botched results, and a complete loss of trust. Dana told me I needed to dissolve remaining filler from a half syringe I had received back in 2018. I paid $365 for the dissolving a price that seems highly inflated, especially considering that most reputable providers charge $150. To make matters worse, she did not fully dissolve the filler. When I returned to get my lips filled, she overfilled them, and the results were immediately obvious my lips looked extremely migrated and âducky.â Friends and people around me noticed right away that something looked off. I came back unhappy, and she offered to dissolve them again. Blaming it on the previous filler she didnât fully dissolve lol. This was the second time she dissolved filler: the first time was the old filler (done poorly), and the second time was to fix her own work which she also did not fully dissolve. After that, she told me Iâd need to come in a third time and pay again to have the rest dissolved. At that point, I knew I couldn't trust them any further. She also offered me a 10% discount in exchange for signing a release form allowing them to use my photos for marketing. I didnât want to but I signed it, and never received the discount. I spent $2,155 during my first visit, $750 during my second, and with the $200 deposit, I spent a total of $3,105 and now I need to pay even more to have her work corrected. The worst part? When I asked for a refund of just my $200 deposit (since it was never applied to any service), I was contacted by someone named Zach, who asked me to sign a confidentiality agreement stating I wouldn't talk about their pricing, services, or business practices online. In my opinion, this is a clear attempt to silence unhappy clients and protect their âfive-starâ reputation, not their clients. Iâm sharing this not because of the money even though thatâs frustrating, but because I believe itâs wrong to take advantage of people and then try to keep them quiet with legal threats. I would never return to Cheeky Denver, and I hope this helps someone else avoid the...
Read moreI chose Cheeky Denver after discovering Dana on Instagram and really connecting with her philosophy that minimalism is key to achieving a natural, refined look
The process began with me sending in my photos for review. I was a bit apprehensive because photos can distort perceptions, and I wanted a consultation for undereye filler specifically. However, the feedback suggested a full facial balancing procedure, which wasnât what I was aiming for.
I was initially assigned to Allison, a new hired injector, instead of Dana. I had specifically wanted Dana because I had seen her work with women of color (WOC) on Instagram and was impressed. Unfortunately, I couldnât find any examples of Allisonâs work on Cheekyâs Instagram to evaluate her experience.
After expressing my concerns to the receptionist Kristina, she was able to book me with Dana. (Just a note, I was told Dana primarily does facial balancing). So I booked my appointment and was able to put down a deposit. Another concern of mine, was paying through Venmo and not a payment portal; I honestly think it is because of fees associated with cards.
When I came to my first appointment, I was really happy with the space; it was really clean and nicely decorated. I meet with Dana and we were able to talk in person about what I was looking to achieve.
I was IMMEDIATELY put at ease. Contrary to the extensive recommendations from the photo review, Dana suggested a different procedure (PRF) for my under eyes and provided an honest assessment of what to expect from undereye fillers if I chose to go elsewhere
After my session, I was really really happy with my results. No one of course knew what I got done, mostly because of how natural it looked, but I also was getting compliments left and right. I mean compliments that are more than average, random ppl on st and my coworkers, would just come up to say how beautiful I looked âşď¸
All that being said I will definitely continue booking with Dana, she is the absolute best.
*A side note about Kristina: Her ability to manage communications via text was exceptional, making the process smooth. When someone else took over, it felt a bit less personable, though this might have been a...
Read moreIn response to the manager: I totally agree, Cheeky and the place I ended up getting filler have completely different treatment approaches. Where I ended up going out-of-state, aesthetic ENHANCEMENT is the priority; Cheeky/Dana seem to moreso prioritize âhow many areas can I inject filler?â I told the manager over the phone, and Iâll repeat it here: For cosmetic treatments, I firmly believe virtual consultations inhibit treatment goals. The NP is building a treatment plan for you based on an assessment of your features presented in 2D. When you photograph the moon with a smartphone, does the picture look the same as your visual perception of the moon? The manager also tried to coax me into deleting my reviewâŚ
I did a virtual consult, which seems to be the only available consult option (as opposed to an in-person consult). For a clinic that spouts a âless is moreâ philosophy, they sure did say I need a lot of filler, from my temples down to my jaw line and chin. Along the lines of âless is moreâ, if that were truly your treatment philosophy, you wouldnât be in the business of filler, a service that requires upkeep more frequently than fat transfers and facelifts. The consult report I received appeared to be a stencil that they send everyone- I substantiate this by the fact that it said my lips sticks out farther than my chin, which is not true at all. When I confronted Cheeky with this information, their response is âwell after we do about 1ml of lip filler they willâ.
I ended up eating the cost of the consult fee and going out-of-state to a facial balancing educator, who disagreed with Cheekyâs assessment and sold me on a legitimate âless is moreâ treatment. I only needed 0.5ml of lip filler, and then filler in my chin. No jawline, no temples, no marionette filler.
I would not...
