EDIT (4/21): It's now been a month since one of my meds had a refill requested and as of this morning, two of the meds I need to refill have completely disappeared from my MyChart medication list. I'm changing this review from three starts to two.
I've been going to the Lowry Clinic for five years. Here's my take:
Pros: The facility is nice and modern. Almost every person I've interacted with, from front desk to doctors, has been kind, knowledgable, professional, and helpful.
Cons: The system of Denver Health leave gaps that people fall through. Part of the reason I'm writing this review is because I've been waiting for a month for a medication refill. This med is a monthly med. If it had been a different medication I take, I'd be going through excruciating withdrawal. This is the second or third time I've experienced this long of a wait. Their system for processing prior authorizations clearly does not work well--it was only after contacting them three times that they were able to move on the prior auth request.
I've also been billed incorrectly due to incorrect codes. It took the better part of a year to fix. Meanwhile, I was out over $700.
If you are a patient here, expect the system to fail you from time to time. I'd say their systems screws me over in some way about once every 18 months. I have a masters in policy; I cannot imagine trying to advocate for myself if English was my second language or if I was less familiar with how health care works.
There is also a lot of turn over with the providers, since many are residents. I've had three PCPs in the five years I've been here.
I'm giving three starts as opposed to two because part of this is just health care in America, and again, the people are...
Read moreWORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD! I took two of my elderly family my members to get the Covid vaccine by drive up on (1/25/22) at 11:15-11:30. All three staff members that approached us were extremely rude. When I went inside the building to ask exactly where we should be I was told by a front desk lady “to go outside and park under a little house” and that’s exactly what I did. Two women who were outside yelled at me with attitude “that’s not a parking spot!” I was so shocked and tried to explain that I was told to park here. They continued to be rude during the whole conversation. A man was sent out to give the vaccine and I tried to ask a concern about the vaccine, if it was safe for one of my family members who has severe and many medical allergies, I was told to look it up on my own time or ask a doctor. I wish I would of asked for their names at the time to include in the review but me and my family felt so disrespected and humiliated that we did not want to be there for one...
Read moreThe people at the front desk are so disrespectful it’s insane. They are the main part of the reason why I will not be coming back here. Absolutely horrible customer service and they act like I’m a burden having to speak to them which keep in mind ladies, it’s your JOB! They are very rude like they have a chip on their shoulder everytime you have to ask them a question or ANYTHING! Please find new people to work the front desk because they are ruining the reputation of Denver Lowry doctors office. I would not waste your time coming here. My appointment was at 4pm which I arrived 20 minutes early to and I waited until 6:10pm to be seen. While dozens of people who came in either the same time or after me were seen way before! They couldn’t even figure out what was going on with me either. From beginning to end it was really the worst doctors appointment experience I have...
