This is absolutely my favorite place to go walking. It's clean it's safe and the main path is paved which is important to me because of my ankle injury there are other paths that you can take that are not paved a little bit more rugged which I don't take but this is by far the best place that I've found to walk in the Lowry area not to mention there's a little Lake it's beautiful the view is amazing if you haven't been to this park I would definitely suggest going there's also a playground for your kids to play and the bathroom is open at the moment they always have maintenance workers on site sometimes doing maintenance and other things which is a good indicator that this park is taking care of and well maintained

This place is amazing. It's well maintained, lots of area for the kids to run around. There are BBQ areas but they are set back from the playground so even if someone is having a party or get together, it doesn't restrict access to the park or make you feel like an a**hole for taking your kids to the park. This is definitely my go to for my kids now. Lots of benches and areas for the adults to sit as well. If you go before sunset, it's one of the most beautiful sunsets I have ever seen. The way the light seemed to split. Amazing. Gotta visit at least once. Oh-side note...there are restrooms (not port-a-potties) here that are well maintained as well. Good for the kiddos

Water is lovely to walk by, especially at sunset. There are lots of birds to see. It's fun to catch crawdads just for fun (catch and release). There is plenty of open field. Large playground with lots of space and benches for parents. Bathrooms weren't maintained. Now, they remain closed and locked. The water fountains no longer work either. They did add a potter potty near the road and only on one side of the park. They do have other benches away from the playground for parties or picnics. There are plenty of trees for shade, too. DON'T FORGET TO BRING YOUR OWN SANITIZING WIPES AND TABLE COVERS. Tables are always dirty.

The best kept semi-secret of parks for this area. It's big, it's beautiful, and it has the perfect layout, between the pond, the open grassy field, the children's play area, and best of all, the extensive paths that wrap around the large area. Currently I can take my dog here many nights after 6:30-7:00 and share the park with only a handful of other people. The word is starting to get out however, as there has been an increase in special events here this summer. Unfortunately there's the disrespectful and inconsiderate group of people that come to barbeque or celebrate birthdays, etc. on Saturdays/Sundays sometimes, and they not only make a huge mess at one of the two available covered picnic table areas, they also LEAVE their mess for someone else to cleanup after they're gone. Every time I see the disaster left by some groups, i can't help but think to myself..."gosh, I feel so bad for the Parks & Rec personnel who have to come clean this up...what a horrible job they have." And just imagine people! If they leave the picnicing/BBQing area the way they do, consider how they leave the public restroom facility! I have made the mistake of stopping into the bathroom here during these times, so I've seen the horror that's been left for P&R to cleanup...it's absolutely disturbing to think about. So my one complaint for the folks that manage this park would be - find a way to better oversee & control the special events and weekend get-togethers that take place, and somehow make these people more responsible for...

I've been to this park a couple of times a year ago and only been to the play area with a child I use to babysit. Today I walked around with my dog who was more excited than I. But as we made our way on one of the many trails, I noticed how clean and quiet it was. There was a small pond, with a waterfall, a stream that followed along and went through the paths. I saw a couple of bridges that crossed over the stream (it could be more) . For those who are nature lovers for birds (as I am) there's several different types (from what can tell) that perched themselves on the benches along the trail. I think they have nesting areas over in the tall weeds and grass. I didn't adventure there because it was getting hot out but, I will definitely make my way through to take a look see of all things this park as to offer...
