Cabinet Depot — Local services in Derry

Horrible horrible horrible customer service. Worked with Joe from Cabinet Depot in Derry, NH. Our contractor recommended we use Cabinet Depot for a remodel we were doing in our basement. They came out and measured for our cabinets and drew up plans. When the cabinets came in we had our carpenter install them, as he was doing so he noticed Cabinet Depot measured the wall 6" longer than it should have been (thats a huge difference when it comes to cabinet space). They measure for a 36" cabinet, when in reality we needed a 30". They also sent cabinet doors that were a completely different style from the others. I brought back the cabinet doors that were incorrect and the cabinet that they measured incorrectly (which is also a more expensive cabinet than the size we needed). Joe switched the doors out and gave me the 30" cabinet that was needed. As they were loading it on the truck, I made them aware of some damage on the new cabinet that I noticed. He explained because the damage wouldn't be seen once it was installed, he wouldn't consider it damage. I also pointed out that a refund should be made due to the more expensive cabinet that we paid for which should have never been that size to begin with. He responded and stated that that was not a refund that they would be issuing and that he would give me a call back. He NEVER called back. At this point I am referring them to the Better Business Bureau as it seems they scam a lot of customers and over charge for incorrect items. Also had to hire my carpenter come out for a second time to install this cabinet for a second time that this company so kindly made an error for and they believe they shouldn't have to...

I purchased $15,000 worth of cabinets from this place. The order along with illustrations and a graphic depiction of my layout was provided. The ordered was agreed upon after reviewing the entire order at their showroom in Derry, NH. When I received the order, one of the cabinets had the the wrong hinging. Instead of 1 left and 1 right handed cabinet, 2 left hinged cabinets were delivered. I nicely informed Samantha, their sales person about this mistake and received the following email from her:

"I apologize, unfortunately our cabinets do not always have a right or left in each color, We our selves have to do the same thing you would, by swapping the side the hinge is on .I did have my warehouse manager take a look for you and we only have left sided hinges in stock for the white glazed.

If you choose to swap it , you can putty the holes. If you bring in a glass jar I can give you some touch up paint for it.

I am sorry, I wish I could give you a better option/ Answer for you.

This is a totally unacceptable answer!! Don't give Cabinet Depot any of your business! Tell your friends and spread the word. ...

Kristen was personable, knowledgeable and very helpful. She showed me the perfect option for me. She came out to measure on the afternoon we agreed on and when we ran into a logistics glitch, Andy was there via facetime to see and suggest. Great product at good prices. Sturdily built (I tried to "destroy" a drawer in the showroom...couldn't do it, too well built! Lol!) I am VERY happy with 1) customer service, 2) product and 3) Triple R Renovations; whom they suggested to me for installation. Ray and his crew were prompt, VERY skilled, neat, clean and professional.
