I went with my fiancé to pick up his suit for our wedding. He looked amazing in it and I told them I had a bad experience with my dress being altered and was bummed that he looked great and I had a badly fitting dress. They insisted on taking a look, but I was hesitant as our wedding was 4 days away and I didn’t want to drop a burden on Oz and Sabrina. I’m beyond impressed with his expertise. Not only does he have a real eye to detail and fit, but he works magic! In 2 days he took my dress apart, pinned it to my body, and put it back together and it fit like a glove! Before, the neckline was uneven, the hips and stomach measurements were flipped and once altered the first time by someone else, the belly was left patched and baggy and the lace in the back bunched. I knew that seamstress was not the one and instead of trying again I thought I’d fix it at home and did some stitching on the sides and figured I’d hide it with my veil, but Oz redid my dress inside and out. I’m more than impressed…I’m amazed. He turned a nightmare into a dream dress and I’m so grateful for his kindness and willingness to try given the short time just so he could make it right and give me back my confidence and excitement for my wedding. I’m also so appreciative, Oz. You really changed everything for me by offering to help. Our wedding was tiny, and my dress wasn’t expensive, but it was something for myself. As someone who takes care of everyone, I just wanted my wedding dress moment and you truly gave me that in the end!! So thankful! I would a million times over tell everyone who’s looking for a tailor...

If you are going to trust your wedding dress with anyone, it needs to be Oz. I was so nervous about having my dress tailored because I’d had some unexpected weight gain since purchasing my dress over a year ago. I was really stressed about whether I would fit in the dress and was worried letting it out would significantly change how my dress looked. Oz never made me feel judged for needing it let out. He explained every adjustment he was making and made sure I felt involved in and understood the process.

He’s very easygoing and did such a beautiful job hemming and adjusting my gown. You can’t see where he made alterations at all! It looks exactly like it did when I fell in love with it in the store! Oz also added a bustle that is so easy to do up, that I know anyone will be able to help me with it on my wedding day. Pricing is super reasonable for the quality of work and the customer service! I would wholeheartedly recommend Oz and Derry Custom Tailoring to anyone needing gown alterations!!

I came to see Oz after picking up my Mother of the Bride dress from a previous seamstress, hoping he could fix the back. I was heartbroken to find out the dress was completely destroyed and beyond repair. Thankfully, I had ordered a second dress in a different size, but even that “spare” had been damaged by the same seamstress.

Oz immediately put me at ease and came up with a plan. When I returned the following week for my fitting, I was absolutely amazed; Oz had worked magic! He created a brand-new dress for me using scraps from both damaged gowns.

I picked up the final creation yesterday, and I could not be happier. Not only did Oz and Sabrina create a beautiful dress, but they also made me feel confident and cared for. I’ll share before-and-after photos after the wedding, but I couldn’t wait to post this review and give them the credit they so deserve.

They didn’t just fix a dress, they restored my confidence and my faith in people who truly care about their craft and their clients.
