Baha (designer) was a creative partner who took our vision and designed a beautiful space in a smart and cost effective way. Our old house needed some work-arounds (e.g., a water tank in the middle of the renovated space that would have cost a fortune to move). Baha had creative solutions to make it work seamlessly. We also appreciated his search for the perfect products for our style. For example, we wanted a specific wood-look tile for the bathroom. We found something workable for the initial design, but Baha remembered what we wanted and found us a far better, higher quality option that had just come out from the manufacturer.

Cemil (project manager) and his team take great pride in their work and made sure every last detail was perfect. They thoughtfully and carefully did construction like it was their own home. Having done renovations before, one of the most important things during construction is a project manager who is highly communicative. Cemil and the team were always professional, friendly, and prompt to reply to our (many) questions. He kept us in the loop about everything, and proactively recommended solutions as he uncovered quirks behind our walls. We were also thankful that the crew was very careful in keeping the construction dust away from the rest of the house so we could live and work here while the reno was ongoing.

Kitchen & Bath Shop Rockville did an excellent job in remodeling both our full bathrooms in our condo. From the estimate to the completion of the second bathroom, it took about 2.5 months. Full demolition. The reason that I chose kitchen and bath Rockville is because of the confidence that the Designer- Baha had when he first came for the estimate. He was not overly pushy to secure the job. He simply said, "Our crews are the best in the area." They took the measurements, and we scheduled a time to meet in the studio in Rockville. He helped us pick materials and answered all our questions. We then worked with our project Manager Cemil who was very responsive and came frequently throughout the process to check on the status and address any concerns. The crew was courteous and made sure to clean up after themselves after each day and when they completed the job. They often worked well into the evening in order to keep the project on schedule. I was very grateful for their dedication. They also went the extra-mile to suggest modifications and did little things that I think many other contractors would have ignored. For example- having seen that our previous cabinets had been ripped open by the previous owner in order to access pipes behind the wall when there was a leak from above; Kitchen & Bath shop suggested that we put a small access panel in to allow access to the new valves. Right from the start our experience with Kitchen and Bath Shop-Rockville was exactly what we wanted in a bathroom remodel company. Baja Gurkan got back to our original request for information, the same day as our request. After talking with him, we made an appointment that was convenient to us. He came and made some suggestions and did some measurements. In a couple of days, he sent us an estimate which was reasonable. We had three other proposals, two of which were much higher, and one was similar. We ended up deciding to go with Kitchen and Bath Shop because of the assistance and useful suggestions that Baja gave to us. Along the way we added to the remodel that we were planning. Baja was very helpful with these as well. Our final remodel included an entire master bathroom, a countertop and sink in a powder room, the counter tops in our kitchen, and refinishing our Brazilian cherry kitchen and foyer floor. The project was completed within the projected time frame. The crew that worked on our project were very respectful, courteous, quiet, and the workmanship was excellent. They were very neat and clean. When they left each evening, they had completed cleaned up and we couldn’t tell that they had been working there each day except to see the results of what was done each day. Also, we were informed of what were the plans for each day and the communication was excellent. Any question that we asked was quickly responded to and any requests that we made were able to be completed.
