This butcher is fantastic. I can't say enough good things about the meat, the people, and the value. We purchased a ham around the Easter holidays, and it was absolutely delicious without being too salty (a rare feat). The pre-sliced ham for sandwiches is also super convenient and delicious.
In July, we got some ribs to grill. There is a long, convoluted story behind why we ended up needing more/different ribs at the last minute, and the important part of the story is that Jake went above and beyond to make sure we had excellent ribs for our gathering. If you're looking for some baby back ribs for the oven or the grill, the ribs we got from the Good Butcher are some of the best we've ever had.
This truly local business is a fantastic one to support. You know you're getting high quality meat that hasn't been processed with chemicals or in a questionable factory-like setting. You know you're contributing to the success of local folks, and you know the meat will be delicious! Extra thanks to the owners for opening this excellent butcher shop...

Though the prices may be slightly higher than our closest grocery store known for good meats - here the butcher trims the extra fat and gristle and can control the quality of the meat — so I am truly getting the more edible portions of meat for the price. The environment smells good and is exceptionally clean for an upscale neighborhood small spaced shop. It is important to support this artful (shortage category) rare trade — especially since they have forged a great connection with a few of our reputable state farmers to get us the freshest meats with great taste and texture. Why not try them as one of your “Easter” family meat sources or for those any day...
Read moreCrazy my first time was last Saturday going in there, had a gift card and man, I'm gonna make it my weekly/monthly meat stop. The owner was helpful/incredibly nice.
I got some dry aged ribeye I have yet to get into, got some of the best mortadella I have ever had. The jalapeno bacon made the best smash burgers with their ground beef, the beef jerky was darn good, the monster cookie made with their lard and grains from the brewery was good, and tonight about to try the carne asada marinated flank steak for convo de mayo.
The name says it all, we need more meat shops like this, and we all need to go to support these awesome local places. Will tell...
