I received a call from my son while he was there having custom rims installed on one of the classic vehicles that we have restored. The owner spoke with my son about having an engine installed in a classic vehicle that he was trying to restore. My son called me (I am in Rochester, Mi) and says that the owner of Universal Tires wanted to meet with me about it, and the owners statement was this, "I would only have to put the engine in the car " I told the owner that I would meet him there after I finish preparing my dinner (I am a transplant patient). The drive had taken an hour. After getting there and the receptionist was walking around the property on her cellphone (I overheard the personal call) not concerned with me walking around looking for the owner (I was dressed in my professional service uniform). After five minutes or so, she looks at me and ask me what do I want, while still engaged in her personal call. I briefly explained to her why I was there, and her response was, "He is next door, he will be here soon." I walked around and waited another ten minutes while the unlicensed and unlearned mechanics were trying to figure out how to do a job on a vehicle. The owner finally shows up and tell me to follow him to look at the engine that was going to be installed in the vehicle. The engine was on a stand, completely broken down, and the parts were all over an old bench style care seat. The owner wanted me to put the engine back together and put it in the car for what amounted to pennies. Within my gift of discernment and the analytical nature of my character, I found the owner to be a liar, a cheat, and of an avaricious nature. 9/30/2022 @ universal thinking it would be a match made in heaven it was not.

10/16/2022 before universal opened I was there to inform them do not do any additional work only work already paid for.

I was told on Monday they had dropped the tank some of the work staff are habitual @ not telling the truth.

I Said to front office you have cameras therfore it will show me there on monday if they dropped the tank after I left.

Also if I bought all my own parts it would have saved me over $600.00 + .

We've contacted BBB and additional state regulations concerning this unforseen situation.

Universal said needed gastank because of leak it's @ shop to check if that was the case.

Bought 4 new tires what's wrong with this picture from Universal this nightmare doesn't end.

Bought 4 new Goodyear real tires 11-29-22 with warranty, returned universal tires told to take them with me I left them.

They are liars I sent my Son to the shop to see if they had my tire. I had a blowout on the freeway. They told him. Yes I called when I was on my way with the tow truck. They told me yes I asked again once I got there they told me yes once it was time to put the tire on they said they don’t have it they sold it. I need to buy a new one. It went from $60 to 130 then they told me I need it my rim bent also I couldn’t find my key lock so they told me they can take it off for me. I agree with them telling me I can use the lock again after not being able to put a tire on because I refuse to buy a new one for 130 expecting to only pay $60 he told me I cannot use my lock and allow me to drive off with only three working lugs.
