Wayne County Community College Eastern Campus — Local services in Detroit

I have been attending this community college for 3 and a half years. The office employees and administrators at this CC are nepotism hire crooks. WC3 is very mismanaged. Go to a good CC like Macomb Community College or OCC. Like I said above, the administrators at WC3 are crooked. If you are a disabled student like I am, then the crooked administrators at WC3 will not give you a notetaker on the first day of class of each semester. When you complain to the ACCESS folks about it, they either will tell you lies (The ACCESS disability accomodations department employees' favorite lie to tell the ACCESS students is "We will email you your notes." Don't fall for that BS. They will not email you your notes. I have never emailed any class notes to me. They told me that lie many times. They only tell the ACESS students that lie just to get them out of their faces.) or they will threaten to ban you from the administrative office like they did me. Also, don't fill out the student inquiry forms they tell you to fill out. They don't do anything after you fill out those forms. A couple of weeks before this new semester started, I filled out my FAFSA forms at the Eastern Campus (That is the campus I attend classes at.). When I went to print my book voucher out on the first day of class (August 22nd), they lied and said that I never filled out one of my FAFSA forms. When they told me that, I showed them a hardcopy version of the FAFSA form they said I didn't fill out. Even though I showed them proof I filled that form out, they still told me that I had to fill the form out again (They said that their computers showed that I didn't fill the form out.). After I filled the form out, those lying thieves pulled some more stuff on me: They told me that my book voucher would not be available on that day and it would be available in a few days (They said that I have to wait a few days for the form I filled out to process.). Fast forward to today (9/2/18): Today, I logged into my Webgate to see if my book voucher is available. My Webgate is still showing the message "There is currently NO book voucher available to you." I had to buy my textbooks out of pocket. I also forgot to say this above but the office employees at this school don't return phone calls. There is a lack of communication between the departments at WC3. When you are trying to take care of something at WC3, they have you run to more than one WC3 campus. Their office employees and administrators lose paperwork a lot (I think they do that on purpose.). They have lost my filled out paperwork many times. They will give you the runarounds. Trying to take care of something at this CC will give you a headache. I have been in many arguments with the office employees and administrators at this CC. This campus doesn't deserve the high 3.7 star Google review rating that it has. WC3 is probably paying people to post good Google reviews for this campus. This campus deserve a much lower star rating....

HORRIBLE. Even though eastern campus is the best campus for help this school sucks. I m glad I'm graduating and leaving this school for good. ONLY one thing: they messed up something on my account for the fourth time in the whole time I been attending here. They overcharged me and I'd be damn if they think that they getting another penny from me. I don't care if its $3 or .50. My advice: check your webgate every other day (classes, fin aid., and student account). Also, if you can go anywhere else then go there. This school is just letting any dummy register. There's so many ghetto, ignorant, stupid people who will never learn anything or be anything at this school its ridiculous. AND most will jealous of you if you get better grades then them even if you actually studied and they did not. Most of these students want As but don't put in the work. AND most of the jealous people are all these old people who are coming back to school. I could go on some more but I think you get...

Wayne County Community College continues to provide inadequate service to those attempting to matriculate.

I attended classes in 2016. Needed to drop a class. After talking to financial services I was told I could drop the class with no repercussions...then was hit with an almost $600 balance.

Numerous attempts to rectify..to not avail.

After attempting to obtain my transcripts, beginning on April 6th, I left messages every day until April 22nd. At that time I received a call from an employee. It took another week for a response after my paperwork was submitted.

As of May 7th, 2020 I have yet to receive my transcripts. I have paid $127 in application and transcript fees-only to not be able to attend classes due to the incompetence of WCCC employees. Mailing transcripts... supposedly on May 7th... knowing damn near all schools in the US are working remotely.

The only school who dosen’t have the capabilities to electronically send transcripts.
