Chandler Park — Attraction in Detroit

The staff was great. My issues seemed to maybe be with functionality, and overall management of the partys, and the facility, and how they organize birthdays in general. It was chaotic, and very disorganized. Food was good. I did give a large order and half the order came back incorrect, but i will give grace where it is deserved and the kitchen staff seemed to be overwhelmed but still pushing through.

The "sand" cut both my kids feet. And they said it was a normal occurrence. I honestly thought there was a glass with how the cuts looked.

After bringing our cake out 15 minutes before our time ended and the pizza out 5 minutes before close to the end of the party they was nice enough to give us an extra unrushed 30 minutes to eat and do cake. And I greatly appreciate it because they could of not given us any.

I do think the person who hosted our group should have came to check on us and maybe helped out a bit, but unfortunately I did reflect that in the tip I left. She was amazing when we did see her. I really wish I could say more positive things about this establishment.

I would still recommend this place to others, but with a slight warning. Hopefully we will visit again in the future and can update...

This was my first experience there and while I'm sure it is a lovely place I couldn't see much of it due to all the people that were there and cars that had to park all along the roads! They DO NOT have parking for people at all...especially if there are more than just a couple of things going on at a time! It was very frustrating and extremely frustrating trying to figure out where things are in there that you are looking for because there wasn't any signs visable anywhere that would direct you to the area that you're looking for! The football field is where we went and it was in bad shape and what little bleachers there were was bad as well. Definitely in need of repair and needing to placed in the correct position and not just at the end of the field for the visitors side. It also was pretty bad that the police showed up to ticket or tow cars of the players that HAD TO PARK ON THE GRASS because there was no where to park with all the people that were there! It was a shame! It could be a nice place for the community if the city fixed...

I was there to hear a fellow musican play. Man, the park looks marvelous! I remember when it was VERY SCARY😱.

It has a skatepark (the concert was in that area) and decent bathroom facilities. There were many other people there, very diverse, picnicking. There were nice pavilions and that's just around the skatepark area.

I, learned while I was there that a marshland was built 6 years ago that serves several key functions. One of which it manages 2.5 million gallons of stormwater, lessening the burden on the city's sewer system and helping to prevent basement flooding.

I'm so impressed. There is tons more to this park - 200 acres! Even though it's on the Eastside😆(I'm a Westsider) I will be going back to check...
