I’ve been going to this store for 16 years and I have even worked at a Parker’s in the past. I’ve never been treated with this amount of disrespect. Walked in the door didn’t get greeted, then picked up what I needed walked to the register, the cashier didn’t say a word to me, proceeded to ring everything up still didn’t say a word, then when it was done ringing up I asked him if he was gonna tell me a total so I could pay, and he still said nothing, then he came back with “I was waiting for it to process” when the total was already where I could see it, then I said “you didn’t say anything” and he responded with “I was still chewing” and then he asked me if I wanted a bag for the eight items I picked up and I responded with “wow no I’ll just carry them myself” and he just stood there so then I said I was being sarcasTic. I asked if he would carry all 8 by himself and he smarted off yes… so I grabbed them all and walked to where the manger was right next to him and asked if he was in charge and he said yes I am and I told him I can’t believe you let him talk to me that...
Read moreThis store is a joke.. The cashiers are the first people you see when walking in. They never greet you in any way.. They seem to not like their jobs. Especially a young lady who is often at the register. Seems to me they’re in the wrong business. The items I purchased scanned a higher price than what was on the shelf tag.. Is that my fault? Was told by the cashier I had to pay the higher price. I removed the items. I called the store 3 times over the next two weeks to voice my concerns and was never able to get the store manager Carlos. He was either off when I called or was already gone for the day.. He must be a part time manager.. Although the yard guys are very friendly there’s usually only one working. The wait is sometimes long even for just a couple pieces of lumber. I’ve even loaded my own materials and driven off without being checked cause there’s no one available in the yard. I only shop this store if absolutely necessary as Home Depot is 40 miles away. The one star is for the yard guys but the inside counter cashiers...
Read moreFirst impression wasn’t good. Second and third were. Inside folk definitely aren’t as eager to help folk like most small town stores, but they do have a good selection, including surprisingly large channel locks. Yard guy was awesome and happy to be there. Overall this is definitely a good stop and a valuable part of this small community. But you really should accept cash when the internet isn’t around
Systems down, can’t sell anything. Suddenly we don’t know how to take pen and paper and write down the price of items and accept cash. And you couldn’t be bothered to inform me as I gathered my items that I’d not be able to buy them. Girl at the front definitely doesn’t want to be there. So far the worst small town lumber yard in Texas in my experience, and I’ve been to a great many from all parts of Texas. Never have I not been able to buy my items, even in Italy Texas when their internet was down. Pen and paper folks, use it. Laziness cripples us as a society more than most...
