Visited Myrtle Beach store Sunday March 26th, on the way home from Myrtle Beach. As soon as I walked through the door, sometime around 5:30pm. I seen a rack of postcards I didn't have, having went through SOTB earlier that week, I bought lots of other postcards already. I felt someone behind me, the taller woman behind the counter was standing at the closest spot to me behind the counter, watching me. The whole time through the store we were followed by the shorter woman. I've worked retail for nearly 15 years, so I know the short woman was calling us thieves by offering "excellent customer service", she wasn't just being helpful. Stood up at the counter and had a conversation with the guy behind the counter about where we were from, he was the only nice one working in the Myrtle Beach Store that afternoon. As we were paying the short loud-mouthed woman yelled "smile y'all on camera!", and laughed. We stopped at SOTB the Wednesday before, mainly for the Reptile Lagoon, but it was closed. Went into most of the stores that day, everyone was very friendly. But these two women seem to have a problem with people of a different color. I bought $3 worth of the 5 cent and 10 cent bumper stickers to give out to people, I'm thinking about just throwing them in the trash, as I don't want anyone I know to get the same treatment from those women if they decide to check out SOTB from seeing the bumper stickers. Those two women "working" at the Myrtle Beach Store on Saturday, March 26th at 6pm, as we were checking out are RASIST. I welcome anyone in management to contact me after watching the video recorded while we were there, I wouldn't mind having a talk with someone in charge about...
Read moreVery disrespectful place. Why is it that we was the only black family to walk inside the store an was followed by a skinny white lady with glasses. This lady was extremely rude. I have a 4 year old an 11 year old daughters. They couldn't understand what her problem was. When purchasing items I had paid 23 out of the 30 dollars. I was short an willing to return a couple souvenirs so my kids would still get something. The lady refuse to let that happen after that I told her I wanted my money refunded she waived me off saying that I wasnt needed for that an to leave. I have never in my life been treated like that an will be contacting corporate. Also never got my money...
Read moreThis is one of numerous stores in the complex that all sell basically the same stuff: every tourist geegaw known to man. Not sure what the deal is with all the Myrtle Beach stuff when it is actually 70 to 80 miles from this place...Went in this one mainly to see the advertised great white shark. Despite signs saying it is real, I did look very closely and touch it as well. I am not a taxidermist, but can tell you that this shark is fiberglass. How real is that? Real neat looking! only. The flamingo statues inside look like a cross between ostriches, pink paint, and kookaburras, but are still interesting as rare bird...
