I'm sorry, I was here long before the Village Center. I remember the woods, I remember the excitement when it first opened. I remember when Mr. Z's and Rite-Aid along with the state liquor store, were the foundation stones for the center. Then, Mr. Z's became Weis, Rite-Aid built accross the street and moved out (eventually becoming a Walgreens, but that's a different story) a series of small businesses and now it's DYING. Weis built a new store just down the road. This store is a shallow reminder of a supermarket. Does anyone else remember Hamlin and the 2 Weis stores.? One became a shining star, the other became a dismal, dreary store that always seemed dirty. Guess which one we're on the way...
