Piggly Wiggly — Local services in Dodgeville

Love the Pig, other than Walmart it is the only grocery store in town, BUT, it's not the first time I've had to turn to cust service for help getting the price marked on items. The last was a 12 pack of beer marked down to 9.99 from 10.99. My receipt showed that I had paid 15.99 with 2.00 off bringing it down to 13.99, I checked the price again and found 2 things in error. There was no beer priced at 15.99, 15.59 was the closest. It may have been in a wrong slot but I found nothing else offered at 9.99 just a tag. I noticed at the bottom of the tag the sale had been over 2 weeks prior. Really hard to read especially at age 82, should bring a magnifying glass next time. Problem is: Most of the time these discrepancies aren't noticed until you get home. I've never had a problem like this at Walmart, but I don't like getting our groceries at Walmart. Updated 5/24/2025 I will not shop here after todays visit. I told my cashier that I will pack my own cloth bags. He said are you sure and I replied yes. I was shopping for two families and wanted to keep things separate. As he threw my products towards me he still threw my bread in a plastic bag with my bananas and whole pineapple on top. My cherries tomatoes were tossed in a different plastic bag with chips and cantaloupe. After I took out my products from plastic bags 6 of them and put them in my cloth bags I realized he stuffed my ice cream tub onto my other loaf of bread. Not going to shop there...

If I could give a 0, I would. Every time we go there, the cashiers seem angry and hostile. Today was the last straw. Our cashier, Lisa, scanned our big pack of paper towels, and before I could even say Hello, had shoved them at me, almost hitting me in the face with them. She did not say 2 words except "come here" when I had to sign our receipt. I understand that people have bad days, but it is never ok to practically throw things at customers, even if you are having a bad day.
