Great little Chinese Restaurant! Parking is a little tricky, but there’s more room in the back. The home made green tea here is simply amazing. Love the way the veggies are cut in a string like fashion, rather than the big hunks you’d normally expect. Chicken chow mein was excellent! The almond cookies are great too. Restrooms are just fine and ADA friendly, as is the entrance and seating.

Surprisingly good Chinese food ,went on a Sunday it was quiet and pretty empty so food came out fast and hot 🔥 always a plus in my book pricing was ok and portions were decent. The service wasn't the greatest but not bad either. anyway the food was good 👍🏽 I do recommend it. (Forgot to mention the buffet isn't available anymore according to sings they have on the entrance door)

Did not have many choices in Dodgeville. It used to be a buffet restaurant before the pandemic. We ordered the lunch special, sweet and sour pork with fried rice, the Kung Po Shrimp with fried rice and the stir fried bok choy (not in the menu). Food was freshly made and served hot. Ingredients were fresh. The owner was friendly. It was a pretty good choice on Dodgeville.

I would have liked to see a few more choices on the buffet. My visit was on a Friday and I'd been torn between Chinese and Fish Fry...some baked cod and/or battered, fried fish would have been nice. They did offer a salmon selection, which would have excited me, but what was being served during my visit tasted as sad as it looked. Why 4 stars then? The place was clean, friendly, attentive without hovering, and accommodating when I requested extra coconut sauce, but mostly because of the shrimp. Their shrimp, the butterflies fried stuff as well as what was in the entrees, was done perfectly! I did not have to merely tolerate tiny, tough shrimp as found at most buffets, but instead, truly enjoyed medium shrimp that was generously included in the entrees, served alone (battered/fried in tempura, tossed in coconut sauce), and not overly coated butterflied n breaded. The shrimp made the visit worth it, but most of the other food was enjoyed as well. Wether or not I recommend a Chinese buffet usually depends on the egg roll, crab ragoon, egg drop soup, and egg foo yung. I was very happy with taste and size of egg rolls (they offered both spring roll and egg roll wraps) and ragoon. I was too excited about the shrimp to taste the soup, and, unfortunately, egg foo yung was not offered on the buffet. Overall, I did enjoy my quiet dinner alone and will absolutely...

For "cheap Chinese," China One is quite extraordinary. Being completely unassuming (Dodgeville, Wi), having inelegant surroundings, (Walmart/Subway/McDonalds) and with your basic fluorescent interior (not fancy), this pearl-of-a-take-out restaurant really offered up some nice fare. I've eaten this type of food all my life from California to Berlin and, frankly, this is one of the best. I wouldn't bother writing a review if I weren't blown away by the sheer deliciousness (or, was it my appetite at the moment?) and generous quantity of YUMMY that was completely satisfying. I didn't give it five stars since I've had the best take out ever in Potrero Hill (SF) and this wasn't that. But, for the many bad offerings that Dodgeville has, China One...

I'm glad the area has an Asian food option! I frequent take out from here when I'm feeling like a lazy night in on the couch. I always get the same thing, so I can't speak on all of the food. But what I order is always good! I love the Crab Rangoons!

I also love that they now have online ordering! (You can order online, but still have to pay in person with cash or card.)

The buffet hasn't been open since pre-Covid. There is a sign on the door, I believe (I could be wrong) you can still dine in but you have to order ahead as if for takeout. I sometimes see a table of people in there while I'm picking up my order.

Definitely a decent option for something different if you're tired of the fast food chains...
