It’s easy to spend a half a day meandering in the breathtaking gardens. I toured the beautiful antebellum plantation home and visited the Great River Road Museum, browsed the gift shop and took an elevated walkway to the Mississippi River. I was beautiful way to enjoy the day.
I chose not to compete with the tour buses for a meal at the Dixie Cafe. The lines were long and chattering too noisy.
