Gateway Foodland — Local services in Double Springs

I’ve shopped this grocery store for 40 years, and 30 of those years we lived in Bham area. The sales are awesome and can’t be beat on most items. Management does a great job in trying to accommodate the customers special request for items not carried in the store if possible. The meat dept. does such a great job in the selection, butchering, and packaging as requested if at all possible. They also work great with school students in being able to work for extra money and to learn some responsibility by hiring as many as they can. Can’t say enough...

A good selection at about what you would expect to pay for a rural grocery. Meat prices are typically lower here than in the nearest Wal-Mart, and vegetables/fruits run slightly higher.
