I just left this morning with the worst experience ever. The shopping is pleasant as always but customer service can be improved. Me and my sick mother were waiting for a cashier to come and an older woman wearing glasses with red hair and white roots comes and doesn’t even acknowledge us. My mother then ask if they accept Apple Pay and the cashier seems upset she has to even speak and says yes in a cold tone. She then scans my mother items and starts talking to some other customers in the politest tone talking about a sale. My mother ask what the sell is about and she rudely says apple sauce and ignores us again until the transaction is complete. I then get my items on the conveyer belt and get them scanned and I ask again to confirm if Apple Pay is accepted and she catches an attitude and gets defensive saying “oh yes we do take Apple Pay” so I pay and wait for the receipt and because she was trying to hand the receipt back so fast as if dismissing us the receipt falls. I know people can have bad days I am a victim of it myself but I feel like in customer service bad day or not at least give a polite tone even if it’s fake so that the transaction is not filled with tension and animosity from the person giving the service. Props to the store it was really clean and everything was accessible and easy to find. Next time I’ll just use the self checkout to avoid any unnecessary hassle for...
Read moreSome serious training needs to take place at the FOOD DEPOT on hwy 5 in douglasville Ga. 95% of the time that I spend my hard earned money in this store, I am not greeted or acknowledged by the person that’s ringing me up. Customer service is FREE! Bring Courteous is FREE! Greeting and acknowledging the person that pays the bills of everyone who gets a check there should be a requirement. Half of the time not only am I NOT acknowledged. The cashier continues the conversation that they have going on with the OTHER person that works there. When this happens I don’t even get a total. They just finish scanning my food and stand there waiting for me to swipe my card. Now, I understand that you may not be able to get more mature help because of the amount that you pay people. However, as I’ve stated being kind is FREE. As a customer that visits your establishment a minimum of once a week. I expect to be greeted by the very person who is...
Read moreI really love the savings at food depot, but I will never return to this location The food I was about to buy was all out of date. There was a hole in my raw chicken package (which I understand can happen but) didn't help that after it had already spread salmonella chicken juice on things I said to the lady there's a hole in it so you probably want to get someone to come clean up this and I don't want it and yet she rang it up anyway and then she moved it to put it in a plastic bag poured the rest of the rock chicken juice in my bag of groceries that I just got in with all of my vegetables in it. Being apologetic doesn't make up for me being afraid to eat my fresh vegetables no matter how much I wash them. I came home to wash everything and found TWO MORE items that are out of date and took photos with my receipt with today's date.
My advice, go to food depot, it's great, but just don't go...
