I ran into the owner in Public while I was working down the road from the restaurant and he told me that he would get me a sandwich because I’ve never eaten At his place. As you left my place at work, I forgot about the sandwich but lo and behold. He did arrive back again with a brisket sandwich that he promised. I told him that I would leave a review On the Sandwich. As I’ve been into the smoky wood flavor of the barbecue brisket sandwich I almost cried a tear of joy. All my days of exploring the best place for a brisket sandwiches come to an end. Brisket sandwich could be a little bigger. Ribs and brisket was a little dry. Although the ribs were tender and fell off of the bone with a nice smoky flavor. The collard greens lacked seasoning. The peach cobbler is not something I’d be in a hurry to order again and I love peach cobbler. Hopefully the company is serious about health code violations. I saw a video of the owner prepping brisket on the same sink where dishes are washed. I’d recommend trying new recipes for collards and the peach cobbler. I love that you guys are about Jesus and would love for y’all to stay open for a long time. Location is key and king, this is away from traffic, means a ton on a Friday in Douglasville, and for me to go there and home is less then 1 mile round trip. So love that element.. 1st time today , had a burger. It was a good flavor and prob close to a 1/2 pound of meat. The sides were good as well, I had mac and green beans. It reminds of a picnic almost the way it is setup, very laid back and easy going.. Very pleasant and polite people .. I left a 4 on atmosphere only, the smoked smell of the entire inside is a good smell, its not bad, you can tell the food is cooked there.
