Virgils Preowned Appliances — Local services in Douglasville

I bought a refrigerator from Virgil’s Used Appliances with the usual 45 day warranty. I was nervous because had a bad experience buying used just one month prior from another individual, but was reassured everything is checked out fully, etc. etc. etc. Bottom line, the refrigerator lasted 60 days, reason being roaches came inside back of the refrigerator and shorted out the appliance completely! I had contacted the shop when barely still in warranty, but received no response. Refrigerator started working again, so I thought maybe we had left door cracked overnight and all was fine. I should have been persistent with Virgils and had checked out at that time, but did not, which was a huge mistake. 14 days later the refrigerator stopped working completely, and according to Virgils, too bad because out of warranty, so I had my own repair guy come out….when he took off the back panel, roaches….many, many roaches all in the back of the refrigerator!! They had bred back there, and shorted out the entire appliance! Luckily, the bugs stayed in the fridge. I know this happens with used appliances, so beware. Check very carefully for even one roach when delivered. Make the technician remove the back so you can check. I learned the hard way. Virgils shop did not wish to honor the sale, admit the problem, or show...

My mother asked me to go with her to look at a refrigerator. She contacted the number for Virgils and was told to to meet there the next day at 2pm. The next day she messaged him before we left for our 30 minute drive for the address to let him know we would be there at 2. He requires you message him before you go because he doesn’t keep regular store hours. He responded with the address. When we arrived we waited 20 minutes and then called him as the door was locked. He said we were supposed to call and shamed us as if we didn’t already speak to him. We asked how long it would take to get there. He said an hour. We said ok and went to have lunch. We arrived back at 3:05 and still nobody there. I called and pretended to be another interested customer and he said the earliest he could meet us was 4. I then revealed that I was in fact the son of the client he was supposed to be meeting at 3. He said he was in traffic and didn’t bother to let us know. I told him we were no longer interested. He said next time we needed to call. We had already spoken 4 times. As soon as you speak with him you will understand why you need to do business elsewhere. I have all text messages for proof of how unprofessional and rude he was throughout...

Do not purchase from this scammer. I bought a washer and dryer from them and my dryer didn’t work properly. I had a 45 day warranty and I noticed, (who I’m assuming is the owner) that my dryer wasn’t working. It only ran for 20 minutes then shut off. He said that he would replace it but never showed up. First he said 10am-12am and no show. Then after calling many times he finally answered said that his driver would be coming between 4pm-6pm, and that they were very busy but they would definitely come on said day. I had to end up canceling all my plans just for them to NEVER SHOW UP AND NEVER EVER GIVE ME A CALL. It is now 5 days since they were supposed to come and I have yet to receive a call or text from anyone. And I had I had a warranty but that means both to them. DO NOT SHOP...
