Honest Local Review: Conrad Spa Orlando
As a local who’s been to just about every luxury spa in Orlando, I was excited to finally experience the Conrad Spa. Here’s my honest review.
The Highlights: The staff was impeccable. Truly some of the kindest, warmest people I’ve met at any spa. Lucia and Jorge, the spa attendants, went above and beyond and were so sweet, welcoming, and attentive. If I could rate the team alone, they’d easily get 5 stars. Also worth noting: the spa itself was very clean and well attended, the food and beverage offerings from Papaya Club(located in hotel, not the spa) were fantastic.
Where It Falls Short: For the price point (comparable to or higher than other five-star resorts in the area), I was really expecting more in terms of spa amenities and value. It’s the small touches that matter in a luxury spa, and unfortunately, many of those were missing. There was no eucalyptus for the steam room or essential oils at all. It felt flat and underwhelming. The Vitality Pool was incredibly small and nearly the same temperature as the hot tub, on a hot Florida day, it’s not refreshing at all. There were no lounge chairs, not in the garden area by the hot tub and vitality pool, and not even in the tea lounge area. Just upright seating everywhere. No Access to main hotel pool. This felt like a huge miss. Many comparable spas offer shared access to the resort pool, which adds SO much value. Not being able to use the Conrad’s beautiful main pool made the whole experience feel even more limited. Overall for amenities: no standout features. Nothing to elevate the experience or justify the premium pricing.
Note: When I booked our services, I mentioned that my husband and I were celebrating our anniversary. While the staff did kindly wish us a happy anniversary, that was about it. At most other luxury spas, there’s usually some sort of small gesture, a complimentary beverage, a relaxing add-on, or even just a personalized note, that makes the experience feel a little more special. Also worth noting—there are no local discounts offered for Florida residents, which is surprising considering many other luxury spas in the area do extend some sort of incentive to locals.
Final Thoughts: This isn’t a bad spa, it was just underwhelming and average for the price point. The people are wonderful and the setting is serene, but when you’re paying luxury prices, you expect luxury details. Compared to other spas in the area, Conrad’s spa just didn’t deliver the value.
I hope someone at Conrad sees this and takes it constructively, because there’s so much potential here, it just needs those thoughtful upgrades to make it worth...
Read moreI Highly recommend the Conrad Orlando spa. Complimentary valet parking, welcome wellness drink, the check-in staff was great, very helpful and professional, then you are greeted and given a tour of the full property and the various amenities the spa offers. You get a locker with a robe and slides and you choose a code for belongings security. The ladies’ room was fully stocked with anything you could think of, from a shower cap to a toothbrush to listerine they had it. The lounge area was clean, comfortable seating options with curtains for added privacy, refreshments and light snacks are also available. There is also seating arrangements that are outside in the garden if you want to take in alittle fresh air. The water garden is absolutely beautiful, that was the star of the show for me✨. The warm whirlpool was amazing, the vitality pool had a really nice temperature. There is a steam room , a sauna , an experience shower and multiple private showers available. The ladies that work in the facility are great, they are always restocking , sanitizing showers after a person uses, offering their help to guest, outstanding customer service. My massage therapist was great, she informed me about what she was gonna do and she did an amazing job, I felt relaxed and comfortable before, during and after my massage. My whole day was great, no complaints, would definitely recommend and I...
Read moreLet start off by stating that the staff was wonderful and very accommodating. I accidentally left my bag in my car and the spa attendant requested that the valet bring my bag from my car. Now let’s discuss the spa. The spa was very pricey and not worth the money. The only spa snack was a chopped up granola bar, spa water, and caffeinated herbal tea. No complimentary champagne was offered. I understand some spas are more geared towards wellness but, those spas tend to offer relaxing herbal teas as well as caffeinated herbal teas. There is no cafe within this spa so, if you want to eat or purchase your own libations you must walk in your spa robe to the other side of the hotel. Sit outside by a loud pool/lagoon to enjoy a meal and adult beverage. So much for the quiet relaxing day at the spa. The spa area itself was not large enough to spend the day or for me to see any value in the money that was spent visiting this spa. The egg chair swings were really nice but, eventually you will swing into the surrounding plants. Which further emphasizes the space restrictions in this spa. I have been to numerous spas and this one was a major disappointment. The two stars are only because the staff here was phenomenal! The spa manager however should take some time to evaluate to goals and purpose...
