The price point of this restaurant seems to be aiming towards a little bit towards the upper mid-range restaurant market, which is fine if the food, service and facilities are also aiming toward that level of quality. These are the reasons why the price point and seemingly image it is trying to project have missed its mark:
In Open Table minutes before we entered the restaurant, the availability was wide open for various time slots. The restaurant was empty when we entered, but we were seated facing the parking lot. Totally fine if the enjoyment of food and service would offset the unpleasant view. However, the view was as bad as the restaurant experience. When we left the restaurant the tables with view of the lagoon were still empty.
Restaurant does not have its own restroom facilities. Guests have to go downstairs, get out of the building door and use the restrooms that are used by the entire Evermore resort guests, which are also a pool restroom. When we entered the restroom, there was a group of seemingly resort gate crashers washing their underarms. All of us had to wait for them to use the sink while they wash their underarms and get napkins to dry themselves. It was quite a disgusting site, and added up to the unpleasant restaurant experience.
Also, if you are the type of person who wants to wash hands before eating, you’ll be disappointed because after cleaning your hands you will have to hold all the door knobs, the stair railing or the elevator buttons.
GNOCCHI - Bolognese, stracciatella, fresh herbs, aged Reggiano in the menu, obviously projects as an Italian dish. Disappointingly, gnocchi is far from being pillowy as it should be. It was very dense and heavy as a raw dough. The bolognese sauce tasted like an Indian dish. That is totally fine if the food was named as Indian dish and not an Italian food.
STRAWBERRY SALAD described as “peppered greens, Asher blue, smoked pecans, strawberries, agrodolce”. Agrodolce is a condiment that should be a little sweet and a little sour. This salad has a dressing that is ultra sour and no sweetness! One won’t be able to taste greens, the pecans, strawberries and all the other ingredients because it was very very sour. Also, the greens have no pepper, therefore “peppered greens” should be eliminated in the description. Neither can this be called “strawberry salad” because it only has a few slices. “Strawberry Salad” is a huge misnomer for this menu item.
SCALLOPS $49.00 - Jupiter rice grits, zellwood corn chow chow, citrus begonia is a 3-piece very salty scallop dish. Overpriced not good at all.
The service was bad. Our server had this attitude of over confidence and quite snooty. We wanted to remind him we are the clients and because of us the restaurant has a business, they get jobs and they get paid…again because of us THE CUSTOMERS. When we wanted to take out a leftover, he asked with a bad condescending tone, if we wanted to box it ourselves or should he box it. He spoke as if he was our master and we were his servants.
Overall, we were previously hoping to have a good new restaurant in the area, but Twin View experience was not good at all. I don’t think locals will frequent this place. One try is more than enough and locals will not go back. If management will not make a huge overhaul, Twin View is definitely be a tourist trap.
After this disappointing experience at Twin View, we headed to our favorite local Michelin star restaurant to have a really good meal, where the managers and servers know us by our names, know our favorite dishes and mix our favorite drinks even before we order.
Twin View restaurant is not quite worth spending your money. To all tourists, the counter service eateries downstairs may be more worth your money…and it is closer to...

WE were super excited to come here! And so we took the second to last available reservation. We had a 9:30pm dinner reservation for a party of 7. We got there 10 min early. And we were seated promptly. So, we are off to a great start. Staff was very nice. ( another check) So, now we are sitting there. 5 min go by, 10 min go by we finally get water. Great Still sitting. And now waiting another 15 min before our water comes and asks if we would like a drink menu Meanwhile, a bigger party comes in after us and is already getting their “drinks” We order one margarita for our aunt. The rest of us were fine with water. Still pushing the wine menu on us. They must have asked us 5 times if we wanted wine. We politely declined ( we came with three kids ) long day at the pools and well this time worked for us all …it’s vacation. The waiter gets the margarita order. And leaves. Some guy comes buy with bread. Kids eat the bread. 10 min later we ask for more bread. Our waiter is finally ready to take our order. We put in our order ( 3 buttered pastas,3 gnocchi, and 1 filet mignon) And now we are really waiting. It’s now after 10pm. And no food. There was a party of more than 10 across from us. Who came in after us and was getting their food and drinks and being asked if they wanted pepper. My kids are falling asleep now. Our waiter said that our food was being plated 4 different times. No more bread. No more margaritas for my poor aunt. It’s now 10:50pm. And now we are done. We left. The service was completely unacceptable. We asked for the manager. And nope. No manager. So we left. What a waste of time. My kids left that restaurant with 2 pieces of bread in their tummies. This was a huge waste of time. So long story short. DONT COME HERE. YOU WILL WAIT. YOU WILL BE ASKED SEVERAL TIMES IF YOU WANT WINE. YOU WILL THINK YOURE AT THE DMV … YOU WILL BE THERE ALL DAY We felt that the reason we had poor service was because we didn’t want THE WINE !!!! The BOOZE. THEY WERE WANTED TO UPSELL US. I would definitely steer clear...
Read moreTerrible food, zero flavor in anything; the driest short rib I’ve ever had. And that’s saying something, wife and I eat out almost every day. Waited 45 minutes for a mushroom and prosciutto appetizer that was cold, clammy, way over-salted. Epic level bad. Haven’t even gotten to the server yet… argumentative, with an attitude, all while taking forever for everything. She said she will take the short ribs off because of how epicly bad it was and of course she didn’t. Then she didn’t even show up to give us the check, had to get it from the hostess. Every other table by the windows also has an air vent blowing ice cold air by your feet, as you’re sitting down, right by your chair. Horrible choice of music and lighting, limited walking options from the other side where the hotel is. I’m a big fan of chocolate and I can’t remember the last time I’ve left a chocolate dessert unfinished. How do you even mess this up and make this brownie so dry and with no flavor whatsoever? It was an absolute joke of a dessert; cooking food should not be this hard. Neither should restaurant service and hospitality. Take pride in what you do or just don’t do it; like none of this...
