Papaya Club is located at Conrad Orlando at Evermore. It’s next to the lagoon and has beautiful water views. We were sat at a nice lounge seating area overlooking the lagoon. Nice and cozy for a relaxed dinner.
Not gonna lie, everything here is quite pricey! But beautiful indoor/outdoor tropical beach vibe here with plenty of seating.
Our server was Omar and he was wonderful. Very hospitable and nice. He was also helpful in recommendations for food and drinks.
Everything we ordered:
• Surf Rider $20 • Grilled Jerk Chicken Wings $28 • Maui-Style Ribs $26 • Crab Cake $28 • Fried Fish Sandwich $32 MKT • Pandan Tres Leches $12
Got Surf Rider with Mezcal substitute, no additional cost. Omar confirmed price was same for this sub. Grilled Jerk Chicken Wings had great flavor but wish it was crispier. Maui-Style Ribs were so damn good and I don’t even love ribs, I think it was the Asian style ribs and flavor that I actually enjoyed. Fell off the bone meat too. Crab Cakes were just ok and for $28 it was not worth it for that one crab cake. Fried Fish Sandwich was my favorite as it had good texture with slaw, pickled and herbs combo along with the generous portion of red snapper fish! I was excited about the Pandan Tres Leches because I love pandan flavors but this didn’t hit the spot for me. Pandan flavor was good but didn’t love it as Tres Leches, maybe try a Pandan Creme Brûlée or Cheesecake? Just an idea.
Lovely dinner all in all. You cannot beat the front row seat to the lagoon and sunset. But honestly, it’s really expensive for the appetizers. The market price of $32 for the Fried Fish Sandwich was fair and that was my favorite so it was worth it. Appetizers costing a whopping $26-$28 each was too much. We had a lovely experience though and happy we got to check it out. Food if great quality but overpriced for the appetizers. That’s all. Everything else...
Read moreAbsolutely delicious food!! We ate here while waiting for our room.
We enjoyed the Pork belly sliders- the brioche buns were soft, crunchy daikon strips went perfectly with the seasoned pork belly. (Just didn’t like the dollop of sauce on the outside of the bun- made it messy to eat).
We also enjoyed the chicken wings. They were battered and fried - not greasy at all - both the kung pao and buffalo sauce were perfect. They’re not tossed in the sauce- just sat on top - so they stayed crisp!
And the kids chicken tenders were super crunchy and flavorful!!
Definitely recommend eating here! (Yes it’s pricey- but that’s to be expected at a beautiful resort like the...
Read moreJust eaten here as staying at the hotel. Massively overpriced, I say that as someone happy to pay for good food and good service. A Coke is $7?? It's in a small bottle and none refillable as a result.
The chicken sandwich was nice but too much salad/slaw. Expensive considering its thigh meat.
The chicken skewer was average, basic seasoning/flavour and sticky rice.
Wouldn't recommend, go order off the kids menu at the pool instead as it's better quality and still a large portion.
Zero atmosphere as hardly anyone else in the place. Please go visit the Evermore food court on the opposite side of the lagoon, much nicer & fresher food...
