I am entering my 5th month at Point of View Apartments. I am glad to say that I have been very pleased with my stay so far.
First off, pricing is fair and honest for everything that is offered. The apartment is brand new. For the time being, this gives residents an opportunity to be the first to live in their unit. This means that units are very clean (I haven't seen a single bug in my time so far). The only scent you will smell is the smell of fresh paint.
Second of all, I am a big fan of the layout. I am living in a single bedroom unit but I have heard nothing but good things when it comes to the two bedroom units as well. The layout does an excellent job of making the most room out of the square footage. The apartments come with a good mix of wooded floors in the living room, kitchen, and bathroom with soft carpet in the bedroom and closet areas. The ceilings also provide you with additional space as they are raised in the living room and bedroom. The apartment is very easy to keep clean.
Next, the amenities are exceptional. Point of View comes with a first-class leasing office space, a great weight room, as well as a hot tub. A pool will also open come warmer weather. Additionally, there is a trash pick-up service throughout the week which makes things a whole lot easier and a spacious, heated underground parking garage which keeps your car warm when it's cold outside. Mailboxes and an Amazon Hub are central to the apartment and the process couldn't be easier. There is even a guest suite if your friends and families want to stay overnight on site. I have used this perk a couple of times so far.
From what I can tell, the complex is set-up to be pet and family-friendly. There are many dogs and families here. Pet amenities seem to be well-liked, there is plenty of space to go on walks around the area, and the walls do an excellent job of keeping things quiet.
Finally, the Point of View staff has been very welcoming, pleasant, and responsive to any inquiries I've had. You can tell they are committed to making your stay as enjoyable as possible and want to build this place from the ground up in the right way. They will also put on small events for residences from time-to-time. For example, there has been a food truck on site and a complimentary waffle breakfast.
Overall, I am very pleased with my time at Point of View so far and have full confidence it will stay that way for as long as I call this place home. It makes life comfortable, belongs to a central location, and it is a friendly, safe environment. And, to finish things off, it is easy to understand why it's called "Point of View" apartments. The name couldn't be a better fit.
Units are going to fill...
Read moreI rarely feel the need to leave reviews but I wanted to leave one here.
Let me start by saying that the property management here is phenomenal. Addison, Samantha and Devin are all incredible. There is another, but I wasn’t able to catch his name before ending my lease. He was great too!
As to the property; there is no better apartment complex in the Salt Lake Valley to rent from. The amenities alone are worth living here. The gym, rooftop hot tub, golf simulator are all well maintained and used. Most apartment complexes advertise amenities that no one uses, that is not the case at POV.
The apartments are modern, the view is exceptional (besides the power lines), and it feels luxurious all around. The cherry on top is the dedicated parking space in the garage. It’s hard to describe just how nice a heated garage is in the cold, dark, never ending winters, of Salt Lake City.
Mail on the third floor and the Amazon hub on the 4th floor were so convenient. A perk that I loved much more than I thought I would.
The staff does really cool events and they seem to really care about people’s experience there.
Aside from the phenomenal property, staff amenities and other perks, I didn’t give a five star for a few reasons that people moving here might want to consider.
There are a lot of pit bulls on this property. Although there has been a campaign to make them seem like nanny dogs, they are very dangerous. For a dog-friendly apartment, it’s not very friendly to other dogs to allow this breed. They’re banned in COUNTRIES (Denmark, Ireland, Finland, Japan, others..) for a reason. They’re EVERYWHERE here.
The AC overpowers all sound in the small apartments. To the point that it’s not possible to watch TV in the living room while your AC is on.
The elevators are constantly out-of-order. To staffs credit they take action immediately and they’re fixed within a day or two. Except in rare circumstances.
Trash pickup was very consistent at first, but the last few months that we lived there it was hardly reliable and we ended up taking the trash out ourselves.
Overall, I had an amazing experience living here despite a few qualms. This is the place to live if you want to live in Salt...
Read moreLots of pro's for this apartment complex but a few con's as well!
Pro's: -Staff is extremely friendly and kind! You see them around all the time and always have a smile on their face. -Complex is always putting on fun events -Quick and easy online rent portal -The gym is super spacious with more equipment than your average gym and also has a spin/cycling room that's open for use -Free fitness classes offered -If you email the leasing office with a question or concern, they are always super quick to get back to you
Cons: -Things always seem to be broken. Door handles, door locks, gym equipment, pool chairs. Whenever something is broken, they only have one maintenance person working so it takes a LONG time for things to get fixed. Treadmills in gym have been broken off and on the entire 14 months we lived there -Residents don't clean up their dog poop so dog poop is left ALL over the outside and left in the dog parks. That also causes the complex to smell -In the entire 14 months that we lived there, the air filter was never changed but we were repeatedly told that it would be -Outside grill stations are left to the residents responsibility to clean which essentially means they are dirty and never cleaned up rather than having staff upkeep the amenities -Doors outside the leasing office are locked at odd hours. If the doors lock outside leasing hours, you can't use your fob to get in and have to go around the entire complex to get inside which is not convenient if you have pets -Parking is always a pain. The parking lot is pretty small for the size of the complex. Each resident only gets 1 garage spot unless you pay for more so it's inconvenient if you have more than one car. Parking lots are not regulated so if people have guests there is no parking. Often times we had to drive around for a while to park on the road
Overall, it was a good apartment complex. We moved because we are having a baby and needed more space. For the price and insane cost of these apartments, we were unhappy with the inconveniences that seemed to add up. Pretty good...
