It took 2 weeks for me to hear anything back about this. And the most important thing there is a boy living here (which kids are not allowed to live here) who has been filming women in the downstairs bathroom (public restroom) in which I was using that restroom when all of this was happening. When I confronted management about that exact situation they said he is no longer living here, I then let them know I had just seen him the day before which then they responded oh well he has 3 days to evacuate. This place does not hold up their end of what they are offering and they are perfectly okay with that. This is in a pretty place but is not safe and I advise EVERYONE TO STAYYYY AWAYYY! I wish I would have known better before moving here. I have never experienced a more terrible living situation. There have been some concerns that I have tried to address a number of times that have been left unresolved. Since then, this short list of concerns has grown significantly and enough is enough. Noise The girl above me since the day I moved in has always been an issue. I don’t know what she is doing but it sounds like she is going to come through the ceiling or is throwing/dragging weights around. She also is known to do her laundry after 9pm. These disturbances happen around 12pm, 4am, and 7am (including everything in between). This is a constant daily issue. Now with the new pickle ball courts there are constantly people out there playing at all hours of the day which is fine however there are now younger groups that will play before 8am and will scream and shout which has woken me up. I have sent emails in which the most recent response was a welcome email in which included our wonderful amenities and apt features and the voicemail I left went with no returned call or email. Elevator There have been more times than I would like to count that without warning the elevator closest to my room has not been working, I will wait and wait and wait and nothing. This has been an issue for my schedule and now I must plan for things to not work. On top of that, more importantly, I have a serious neck and back issue in which going down the stairs is a huge challenge at times. Smoking Another reason I moved into this building is because it was a drug/smoke free building. However, I see multiple residents on a daily bases smoking right outside, cigarettes all over the ground and worst of all THE PROPERTY MAINTANENCE sitting outside in the grass SMOKING!!! And the most serious issue that I have. A few months ago a young boy (a resident) which is the first problem there are no kids that should be living here. He was sitting in the lobby and had put a cell phone in the women’s bathroom and had been filming women in the restroom. He should not have ever lived here and now should never be allowed in this building I used to come and each lunch and sit with the front desk girl and use that same bathroom when this was happening I see the grandmother every day and when asking if the boy and his father still live here i am told that they have no idea. I saw the man his son and the grandmother on 9/23/18 and in a video clip my boyfriend got you can see these all three of these people leaving the building and getting in their car in their assigned parking spot. This goes against having children living the building and legally is and was a huge issue. I now avoid the front and using any of the public spaces that this apartment has. This building has so many issues that go against the policies and contracts. On top of that safety issues are now a huge concern and have been compromised. I chose this place for many reasons, I chose this place after it was falsely advertised, I am beyond disappointed with all the issues, how things have been handled or more so not handled and on top of that I do not feel comfortable or safe here on top of not being able to sleep due to noise issues that occur well beyond the start or end of “quiet hours”. THERE IS MUCH MORE BUT UNFORTUNATELY THERE IS NOT ENOUGH...
Read moreParking was already a problem, then new management took over and somehow miraculously turned a problem into something much worse. A nightmare would be an understatment.
Something like 5 visitor parking spots in the entire community. That few visitor parking spots for hundreds of units, is a real disservice to the residents and a sprawling burden on the surrounding community.
Unless you want to park in a distant (non Ivy owned, 5-10 min walk each way) parking lot the best way to visit residents is to have them come out into the parking lot for a quick parking lot visit.
It feels like a shady deal going down rather than a warm visit with friends or family. Additionally, this started out as an over 50 'ish community, so many of the residents are elderly. Parking is such a burden on all of the residents. Reading some of the other comments they say that visitors should park in the residents spot!? Wait, if I'm coming to visit a resident, their vehicle(s) would obviously already be in their parking spot.
Every time I think this through I tell myself, I certainly must be missing something because it's such a mess. So far no solutions and I remain baffled.
Many wonderful aspects of this property, unfortunately, the management cutting corners (all of the corners) on parking almost dwarfs the many, many good qualities.
Would be closer to 4 stars if it weren't for the parking nightmare they've created. I've written many reviews here, where I am a Google Local Guide level 8 with about 18 million views and on Tripadvisor, where I'm ranked in the top 3% for the state of Utah. I generally lean to giving higher stars, but I cannot justify anything higher than 1* in this situation, it's actually a shame and pains me to leave the 1*, yet honesty and transparency are essential.
Coming home or visiting someone in this parking situation is like coming home to a house with no doors... And management says, oh just climb in the window.
I'm certain management has the ability, skill, resources and wisdom to create a solution and balance out the benefits of this lovely community, unfortunately, it's yet to be seen in...
Read morePros: The receptionists are so nice and always willing to help. The apartments are modern and great appliances. if there is anything to fix, they come the next day. they have a lot of amenities and I loved the game room. A fair price for guarantee parking option Harmons and Walgreens are super close Cons: If you have to use the back entrance, good luck with the smell of dog pee. They say that the rent base for one bedroom apt. is $899 but in reality you end up paying like $1200 monthly. They make you get a Direct TV cable package for $100 per month and has only few channels available. The worst package. Plus other utilities like electricity in the hallways! WiFi is so slow, there has been couple times where it went down without any prior notice. Moving out was a nightmare for us. They charged us an extra $500 for not giving them 2 MONTHS of notice. So, we paid like $1700 for our last month. We left it clean, but they charged us for painting, cleaning and Carpet cleaning around $400 I know I mentioned about parking in the pros, but I wished they spend a little bit money so every parking space is covered. very limited parking space parking for visitor there is only like 5 designated parking space for visitors. I had lovely neighbors on my floor, but we got complains for having my husband’s sister with a baby over the weekend from the people who lived under us. They complained that we sleep too late, which was true, but we were just working on our desks! They said that we are heavy walkers!!! One day, for the 1st time I decided to do Zumba, after 30 seconds, a guy started banging his sealing (our floor) and yelled $!$!??$ I was horrified! from that day, I never felt safe at our place. I should have talked to the manager, but I was tired of going to his office for things that we didn’t do. They make you pay renters insurance. I know most places do, but I just want to put it there. they offered us a free month, but in reality we paid so many extra fees, $200 deposit non-refundable and $500 deposit .... You decide what’s best for you! I am glad...
