Comelec Internet Services — Local services in Dubuque

Well first I would like to say that we have had services with Comelec at multiple locations as we had to have our services moved which was more to move the service than the monthly fees that we pay for service and I understand the whole moving the services from one place to another can be a hassle but that was really nothing to the money we had to pay for them to put a Tri-Pod up on the new places roof for us to get service. We were never informed of the charges about a Tri-Pod needing to be installed and the payment had to be paid up front in full for us to even get service. (It was a $78 moving fee added to the bill and the Tri-Pod was a $200 up front paid in full before services could be restored at the new place which really sucked a lot as we had already spent a lot on just moving to begin with.) But the customer support received other than the whole Tri-Pod issue has been great they are always willing to do whatever they can to make sure that we continue to get the speeds and reliability that we are paying for and the weather here which these last few months have been pretty terrible with all the snow and icy rain the services never went out on us at all. The bottom line is if your looking for reliable internet services then you can look no further than right here with Comelec, I wont be looking for another internet provider again so long as they continue to keep doing what they are doing right now. It will be even better if and when they make it my way with the fiber optics as it will only provide me with even better speeds and reliability which has been flawless so far!

My wife and l live in a somewhat rural area outside of East Dubuque, Illinois and had very limited options available for internet. Businesses nearby have great difficulty with the internet speed and reliability. I know that for a fact as I've spoken to them myself as I was seeking information to rid myself of Verizon internet and AT&T TV service. Our home is surrounded by large trees and getting line of sight to one of Comm Electric towers was not easy. Fortunately, Comm Electric was very willing to persist and evaluate every location possible on our property...in fact the technician said he enjoyed the challenge as they rarely run into situations as difficult as ours and alot can learned with the more difficult situations. Line of sight was established and we proceeded with the purchase and installation of a 55' tower to mount the dish...followed by 170' of trenching and cable installation. Although I completed all of the tower and cable installation from the house to the top of the tower myself, support was provided through the entire process by Comm Electric. Coordination of the dish mounting with a genie lift was smoothly accomplished and we finally had reliable internet service. It was an absolute pleasure to rid ourselves of Verizon internet and AT & T cable TV. Yes..there were minor glitches along the way..there always is when dealing with trees, Mother Nature, and digital signals but persistance prevailed. I own and operate a strange internet business. I have a number of internet streaming "radio" stations. When they work correctly, they make money. I also support broadcast services. Needless to say I need PERFECT internet. I was about to take my company OUT of Iowa because internet sucks here, UNTIL NOW! Comelec saved my business and prevented me from moving the entire operation out of Iowa. We were using MediaCrap, they were always down. Elected officials do nothing about the poor service provided by MediaCrap and it's related companies because MediaCrap and it's companies line the pockets of Iowa politicians. Comelec is a rare company! They actually provide quick, honest, knowledgeable and responsive service. I have the business fiber and I could not be happier. If I have a problem I call a number and within a minute or two a technician calls me back. I had a question, I repeat a question at 3 am and some poor bloke actually called me back. I should have bought him a case of beer! Comelec contacts me by email if they expect a "down" period. That allows me to contact the network and prepare them so I do not lose money. MediaCrap would just disappear and then resurface hours later. If you need SERIOUS INTERNET WITHOUT INTERRUPTIONS, THIS IS THE COMPANY FOR YOU! Do not waste your time with MediaCrap, PissStream, Crime-Warner and Chartless cable internet. The "present" has arrived in Northeastern Iowa. Don't live in 1998.
