I ordered an ice-cream cake to add to my daughter's LPN graduation party. The gal who took my order was most patient and kind. Her spelling skills needed lots of help though. We live three hours out of town and drove in for the occasion. We wanted to pick up the ice-cream cake and get to our destination in a timely manner (the 'don't want it to melt and get to the party at the right time' thing). The writing on the top looked like a child's work. No frills, no thrills. Simply said: 'Congradulations (name) on your LPN'. When I told them the spelling was wrong several of the staff stood around trying to figure out what was wrong. You should have heard them: "Oh the 'l' . . ." stood out more than any of the other guesses. One of the girls offered it to be fixed right away, and I had to decline due to our time schedule. I then asked if I could get any sort of discount. If I'd have known it would have taken so long to get the manager's permission for the discount I wouldn't have asked. The manager didn't even come look at the cake. I received a 10% discount. This was an important occasion, and I had to present a cake I paid over $30 for with a lousy boarder, the ice-cream had run out under the boarder and down onto the outsides and no decoration other than the writing of an ignoramus who didn't catch the misspelling on the order ticket which also lacked the punctuation I requested. I've posted photos of the less than desirable work elsewhere...
Read moreI ordered a 6 piece chicken meal deal and was told it came with an ice cream. I asked the cashier if this was true, as I had ordered the same thing many times before and never received an ice cream with it. The cashier said yes, that's how it is, so I chose which ice cream I wanted. Then once the order was finished I walked to a booth to wait for my food. Then not long after I sat down amongst the other customers who were dining at this Dairy Queen, a woman missing teeth and saying she's the manager came over and said I need to pay for the ice cream. I then explained that I had ordered the 6 piece chicken that didn't come with an ice cream, but was told and reassured by the cashier that it came with ice cream, but to no avail as the woman said yet again that "they are the manager" and that they heard me ordering ice cream and that I must pay. After I said I'll pay for it she walked away. Once I got to the counter and paid the measly amount, the cashier from earlier apologized and said it was her fault. Overall unbelievable experience. To get an order wrong, to visibly go up to a customer who has already sat down at their booth amongst other customers and demand payment, then claim they are the one in the wrong. This evidently deaf manager should be replaced or seriously consider changing their attitude before showing their face at this DQ again. Until that happens, I won't be...
Read moreAfter sitting down for a nice Sunday lunch with the family we were disappointed with the integrity of the "management". When ordering a meal we were certain that what we had ordered would not include an ice-cream addon, however after being reassured by the cashier we proceeded with our order and received some ice cream. We all assumed at that moment that maybe we were wrong and what we ordered did in fact come with ice cream. The meal was paid for and then we took a seat with our family. While enjoying our time with our family while waiting for our food the "manager"? came over to confront us about the ice cream claiming that we needed to now pay for it. The cashier claimed that it was her fault but this manager insisted that we intentionally ordered the ice cream and that we needed to then rectify the mistake (that they made) by paying the difference. This is unprofessional and outright rude of this manager to put it on the customer to rectify the mistake that their employee made. We unfortunately left what was intended to be a nice family lunch feeling like we should have just gone some place else to...
