We adopted a puppy 7 months ago. She came home with a plethora of health issues. My incorrect understanding when adopting her, was that she had been vet checked and received a clean bill of health. Such was not the case. After having her 2 days it became apparent that she had kennel cough. An emergency trip to the vet over the weekend confirmed our diagnosis and revealed that she was also severely malnourished. Add to that, the fact that she had been spayed at only 8 weeks and it was clear our pup had endured some trauma. A few days later she had a seizure and was back at the vet undergoing tests to determine the best treatment for her. At one point we were told it was touch and go and to prepare for the fact that she might not make it 😢 It was a long process, but slowly and steadily (and after several stays at the vet hospital) she progressed and is now a happy, healthy family member!! It was worth the time, effort, and money to care for our sweet pup, but it might not be feasible for everyone so beware of this when adopting a shelter pet. Just know there could be any number of underlying health issues (apparent immediately to any decent vet) that will not be disclosed or discussed with you during the adoption process.

I hate writing negative reviews to businesses like shelters however this is something that is just frustrating. I adopted a kitten here, and the shelter/paperwork told me he was Six months old. Four and a half days later while at the vet appointment, the night before I noticed he wasn't breathing or acting right and I brought it up at the vet appointment. The vet took him away to chest Xray/blood draws and told me he likely has FIP and if I hadn't brought him in that day, he would have died overnight. She said that the only way he could have gotten FIP was from the shelter. She also told me that he in fact was NOT six months old, but less than 13 weeks old. I had to euthanize him after spending $135 on the adoption, $175 on materials for him, and $200+ on the euthanization and vet expenses. I contacted this shelter via the email provided on the website. No answer. I filled out the forum on their website. No answer. After 10 days, two emails, three phone calls and two voicemails, they finally answered the phone. They said that the best they could do is give me a voucher. Granted it is in their contract that you sign that they do offer vouchers, something like this is just ridiculous. His liver was double the size it should've been which made it hard to find his heart + he had an extremely low blood pressure. This is not something that happens in less than four days. The staff didn't really offer much except for apologies and the voucher for a replacement cat/kitten.

This was an extremely frustrating experience for me especially while grieving the death of my kitten that honestly could have been prevented if I had known just how young he was and the health...

What a great shelter, "No-Kill" That says it all, as a Dog dad I am very happy and impressed with the care and attention given by the staff. My daughter and I went there to see a particular young lady that had just arrived (see ref: Korea below) and looking at some other people's reviews may I point out that they may not have all the answers to every question but I believe they do their best. Everyone that we interacted with was very respectful and helpful so I think they listen and are trying to always improve. I personally can't comment on the quantity of a particular type (dog or cat) that is at the shelter at the time we were there because it is very hard for me to see them, I wish I could rescue all of them and bring them home to be loved and treated the way GOD intends for us too. I am sad because unfortunately we aren't able to adopt the little girl that we went to see already having 2 Korean Jindos they are our four legged children 😊 and I must respect my wife's decision to allow her to be adopted by a family maybe with a ranch or a big fenced yard for her to run in. In conclusion - What has really stood out though is recently they were part of the rescue for pups from Korea and also as a IT professional I have to give Kudos to them for their website and pet profiles. Please adopt and support them and to people that didn't like something don't be so quick to make a judgement and then leave a bad...

My name is Robert i need to make this very clear. We went in today to try and adopt bluey and we brought are dog koda she is a 6 month old Corey. Bluey was very intent and wanted to play but koda showed fear because she is a pup and has not been around dogs as big as bluey very much. With that being said when they had the meet and greet instead of letting me hold my dogs leash they did it so. Allready skittish about the bigger dog now she is even more scared because she has a random person pulling her around. So this whole time during the meet and greet she would not let koda step back and relax so she was just getting more scared. And bluey wasn't allowed to relax soon as the meet and greet started they had both dogs in each other's faces without allowing koda to pull away for a min or 2. This took about 15 min then they decided to not let us adopt bluey because they do not understand how to get dogs to interact. And they said they were worried the whole time that he would kill koda. On that note you cannot be involved in a meet and greet with that energy. They think there beahvioralist and there not. I've raised dogs breed dogs. Introduced and socalised my dogs with alot of diffrent dogs and alot of time tou first hour sometimes this is how it is until they relax. These people have no idea what there doing and they should be made to take classes on...
