Rent 1st — Local services in Duncan

Long story short, I was renting a dryer from them, I got it last November. Today I called to to have them pick it up simple enough as I bought a new dryer out right. Talked to the store manager Chris and he informed me I had a washer not a dryer. I explained to him no I have a dryer I don't have any washer from you all. He told me that was not true and told me I was either a lier and thief, or that I was confused and we're I got the dryer. I tried to tell him that was not the case, and at that point he told me I was lying to him and he was pressing charging against me for stealing a washer from them as that always happens to them. And then he hung up on me. So I went out to the dryer and got the model and serial number off of it and called Chris back. I was trying to tell him I had the serial number for him to look up but he kept talking over me.until I finally told him to shut up and listen. I gave him the serial number and guess what it wasn't a washer it was the dryer that I rented fr them. And according to him the dryer was showing to be somewhere else but not at my home. I told him again we could of talked out all through if he would of listened to me instead of calling me a lier and a thief. He said well the paperwork showed it was a washer, and I informed him he was the one who wrote the paperwork up not me, and secondly he was the one who went over the paperwork. So for him being stupid I almost paid the price for his mistake. And I might be the one who files charges against rent 1st for saying I stole from the and they were filing charges on me before he would even listen to my side of the store. Chris needs to be fired he is not a people person and not the sharpest tool in the shed. And if this always happens to them, then maybe it Chris screwing up...

A word of advice...Be more than clever and more than cautious!!!!

The most dishonest and rude customer service I have yet experienced in or with any retailer.

Beware of the manager, he is a swindler...

We simply wanted an option to buy out in 90 days a couch and loveseat!!

We were told we could pay as we go as long as it was settled by the 90 day window, keep in mind we had been paying along.

I came in to pay the entire purchase off and apparently the general manager as he addressed him self stated we owed way more than what was agreed on and stated on contract.

He would not give me the correct amount or explain why he wanted to collect more than the pay off...Not professional!!!

He clever prompted me to become upset then arguing as he would not answer my questions and I being a customer coming in to pay off furniture Should have been treated with a great smile and a thank you mam!

I would do some research if you are looking to buy or rent anything in the way of appliances or furniture as there are plenty of options out there, we going a great place in Lawton, worth the short drive.

That will call and harass you consistently even though you spoke with someone just a day or do before.

End result: We called and told them to come and get there furniture that out business and treatment had been unexceptable, we were hung up on by a customer representative....

We are shocked to see how this company stays...

I have lost my job and in addition we had a house fire. While waiting on our items to come back from insurance we rented a washer an dryer from them. On December 17th 2021 I was called and told it was time for my payment (that had already been taken out of my account) at this time I told them I would like the machines to be picked up on January 1st because we would have our stuff back. Dalton the manager told me that they were closed the 1st so they would need to pick it up on the 31st. After it was picked up they took an additional payment out of my account. I called 2 times on Monday January 3rd to Dalton and he replied that he would need to talk to his district manager. On January 6th I called back and he told me his district manager was standing beside him the whole time and they couldn’t give me my refund but I could have store credit! No Thank you! I hope you can sleep at night doing business this way and I hope this helps someone else before they decide to rent from anyone. Dalton also threatened that I would be violating my contract if I posted anything negative , what a company! I don’t have anything from this company anymore and I don’t a have a contract and I don’t have anything...
