Song of a Narcissus
In merciless time we lament the losses,
Our gentle souls like narcissus,
Digging, clinging with all our might,
Clutching tightly to the Earth,
And You.
One hand, hand in hand with mine,
In this kindergarten realm of every hand set against another,
In merciless mercy we drown in the Other,
Gasping, the cramp, yaw and guffaw lurking in the treeline,
Preparing to witness the inner carnage of our daughters, our souls,
Daily arising, dutifully reporting to the meadows edge,
Awaiting the order I so wish to disobey,
Merciless time wiil not relent,
Daily choosing exile as we leave the meadow behind,
Charging headlong into the beguiling field,
Merciless mercy expecting none
For the same to our breatheren would have done,
And 10,000 Narcissus wilting in the Sun,
Whilst Merlin himself thunders, "WOULDST THOU NEVER HAVE DONE?",
Endlessness, Infinite Creator of All that Exists
have Mercy on us,
Infinite Fountain of Love and Mercy we turn our attention to you,
Help us remember to sense your presence in our hearts,
Always, Everywhere, Everyone, l am.

Read moreI can't speak to the warehouse club as a facility as I've only been there for yoga classes. I can however speak to the affect it's had on me. My husband found a replacement family at the warehouse club, spending an inordinate amount of time there, even leaving family functions early. As he became more involved and eventually left his home group I became concerned. Of course when I voiced my concern I was met with eye rolls. The warehouse club, for him, is like a church family that interweaves itself into your life, except that your real family is excluded. There are many struggling members and too many women that don't understand boundaries., because of this I believe he rationalizes his behavior, and certainly is never called out on it. Wrapped in a cocoon of enabling he has become a shadow of the person I knew....a dry drunk. I could not compete against...

I've never felt so uncomfortable ignored and out of place in my life. Not one person came up to me to give me their name their number they actually all avoided looking at me whatsoever. I left as it was starting because I didn't want to feel uncomfortable. The owners of this venue have offered other meetings and places to make me feel more comfortable. However, I will never return to an AA meeting ever...
